Delicious food. Service was great until the food came, and our server just stopped coming, and I was trying to let them know that they forgot my beans. They didn’t show up until we finished our plates. But they were nice enough to give me two orders of churo beans with some chips and Queso to go. We’re definitely be back. Hopefully, next time, I can get my beans on time.

We were having a craving for delicious Mexican food and this place hit the spot. We dinned about 5pm on a weekday and it wasn’t terriblly busy. Our server was attentive and our food came out nice and hot. Its a place we’ll probably return to often.

Hello again it’s Lain I want to tell you about the great lunch that we had at Bárcena’s Mexican kitchen. Went there yesterday for an early lunch. Parking was easy there weren’t many people in there between 1130 and 1145.. we ordered the fajitas for two I had an ice cold beer on draft I will say that’s the coldest beer I’ve had from draft in a very long time. I always complain when it’s not cold enough but you guys got it right! The fajitas were cooked just right they were not tough and as you can see in the photo, these were quite thick. The staff was very friendly anxious to greet us and happy to say goodbye and thank you as we were leaving.. the place was spotlessly, clean and ladies. Yes I took a photo of the ladies restroom just for you.! Can’t wait to go back and just have a drink at the bar and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and they’re friendly staff. Maybe I’ll see you there.! keep following guys let’s see where we go next

If you like paying high prices for mediocre food this is your place. Even lunch is expensive. Fajita chicken very bland, rice and charro beans bland. The chicken was super dry and cut way too thick. The corn tortillas were also dry and hard on ends. 3.99 for a side of shredded cheese and 2.50 for sour cream? At these prices why not go to pappasitos. I prefer red river cantina food is much better and better ambiance.

I have been to a few Barcenas in the area. The food is always on point every time I eat in any of their locations. The waitstaff is always friendly and helpful. I specifically wanted to leave a review about these nachos. They are called Nachos Lulu’s style. They are phenomenal. Give them a try!

If I could give this place a 15 star I would. The service was amazing!!!!!!! The food was sooooo good it was unbelievable my food came out hot and fresh and fast just like we like . Jessica our waitress was amazing and super sweet!!!! I had the strawberry lemonade and combination of steak, chicken, shrimp fajitas!!!! Highly recommend!!! My entire family enjoyed their meal. We are traveling from Dallas but anytime we are in this area we will be back. Thank you Jessica and the entire staff!!!

Traveling to Galveston. Stopped for late lunch. Christian provided a great recommendation for what turned out to be most excellent nachos. Service was outstanding and the manager stopped by the table and was so very pleasant. The food was great and service superb! Highly recommend.

About one month ago: This was a pick up order. First off, they got the order wrong and left off one of our dishes so I had to go back 6 miles to pick it up. Everything was good except for the chicken fajitas. The chicken was dry, and it was ridiculously thick pieces of chicken cut a 1/2” thick. Try putting a big half inch thick piece of chicken on a small tortilla and then try to get anything else on that tortilla! Whatever happened to nice thinly cut moist pieces of chicken when you order chicken fajitas? If you cook the chicken until it it’s too dry, for God sakes, keep it in some kind of moist juices until it’s time to serve it. My wife and I could literally not finish eating it. Wasted money. Now for the positives: the restaurant staff there is extremely nice and helpful. They greet you with a smile when you walk in the door and they thank you when you are leaving. They profusely apologized, and were as nice as they could be, when I had to return to pick up the rest of my order. They threw in some more chips and salsa. I think they could’ve done better than chips and salsa! I do believe they added some queso to it. But still, how about maybe an extra order of tamales. I would return again, but I would not order the chicken fajitas again unless the owner comments here that they will fix that problem. I will try them again though.

The staff is so wonderful and accommodating for the baby shower we had at their League City Location. Loved the frozen margaritas and food. Coming back for sure. Ohhhh the place is so adorable too!
