AMAZING!!! Randomly picked this place to eat while stopping through on our way to Shenandoah — couldn’t have made a better choice! Drinks are incredible, food was very good, lovely service, and the vibe was awesome! Great happy hour, they even have pinball machines! Sadly didn’t get to attend a show there, but would love to in the future! Ever consider opening a second location in Maryland? I’d be first in line! (Please!!)

Met some friends here for brunch. Little limited menu, but had a number of things to choose from. Definitely a collage bar, really got that feel. Not sure, but it seemed that they have a lot of live music and comedy here. Open pretty late as well. Looks like they take their name from a great movie The Outsiders, since they had a bit of art based on it. Although, they didn’t have any of who said, “Stay Gold, Ponyboy, Stay Gold” They had some video games and a cool Wizard of Oz, one that was a limited 97 of only 1000. Pretty big open space, with some outdoor patio in the back. Food was good, pretty good sized portions, especially the BLTs. Service was a litte touch and go. They had a little duet playing some light jazz for brunch. There is a bar in the back as well. I can see this place being pretty packed on a Friday/Saturday night.

This place has a funky charm that reminds me of some of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. Relaxed atmosphere, great staff, food was pleasing and will return soon.

The best vibe in Harrisonburg. The best music venue around. Excellent service and solid variety on their drink specials. Always tip your bartenders and staff!

This place used to be the bees knees! Sadly, what was once the best breakfast in town has been reduced to a depressing selection of uninteresting small plates. I ordered the BLT since all of our favorites had been removed from the menu, and it arrived with two slices of uncooked bacon. I mean this stuff was completely raw! I think it’s safe to say this was my last time dining at golden pony.

The nachos here were awesome. My girlfriend and I stopped in for Sunday brunch. It was after 1pm and the place was pretty much empty. It took several minutes to get a table. It seemed they only had two wait staff working and one had to get a booth cleaned so we could sit down. Other than the wait and the service being just a bit slow the great tasting food made up for the service. I had coffee with was lack luster and a bit weak but when the food came out this was what it was all about. We had the Nile nachos which were very tasty and so delicious. We also had a side of biscuits and gravy and the biscuit was prepared to perfection and the sausage gravy tasted great. We also shared a chicken and waffles. The chicken tenders were good and the waffle okay but it was nothing special. We got some of the golden sauce and that really worked well with the chicken tenders. I’m not sure if I would get chicken and waffles again but definitely get the nachos and the biscuits and gravy. I would go back to try some of the other items on the menu. My girlfriend got orange juice. It was good but again nothing special.

Awesome place to catch some live music, grab some drinks, and get some decent food. There is something for everybody on the menu. The upstairs area offers a bar and restaurant seating. The downstairs area is a lounge and bar. Performers and style varies by the night. There’s also a lot of cool murals on the walls.

I mainly go for the live music. They do a great job on bringing great, diverse, and interesting music in. There is an affordable cover charge. The food is really good. Wide selection of interesting beers and cocktails. Very nice people behind the bar – one barmaid in particular who is happily seemingly always there!

Really cool venue with great prices. Pizzas and drafts are half off downstairs from 7-9 so you can end up paying $8 for a pizza and a beer. The pizza was delicious as well. They have vegan options as well that comes with a tofu cheese which was intriguing to me. As far as music goes, the atmosphere was awesome. However, it can be tough to see the artist on stage from further back but you can definitely still hear just fine.
