Zola is special. It perfectly blends comfort and upscale in a classy establishment. The pricing is just right for a light date night or drink/food with business partners and colleagues. It provides a lovely semi-formal experience.

I managed to get a seat at the bar after awkwardly standing in between tables, the kitchen hallway, and the bar to snag a seat. While I didn’t make a reservation, a better place to let guests wait would be better. Moving on to food, a nice and small spot at the bar where you get an extra close view of your drinks being made while enjoying your meal. The bone marrow and Egg/Salmon toast was a great pick but extremely small for the price even as an appetizer. The main dish, the ricotta gnocchi was good but would have had more room for another entree. Overall, this was a nice restaurant for a one-time-only occasion but would consider going somewhere else as it is a small restaurant and felt cramped even on a weekend.

This place is fun! I always love how lively it is at dinnertime (a bit loud, but an overall vibe). I really enjoy their gnocchi and dessert. The food is good, at times great, but not out of this world. I would come again, service & decor at wonderful too!

We’ve been coming to Bar Zola for quite some time and so glad the bartenders are always the same! We enjoy sitting at the bar watching the professionals do their thang to make us such delicious cocktail. Some of our favorites are Lost At Bay, Jai Alai, but everything is so yummy. Their schnitzel is to dieeeeeeee for along with their corn soup. Anything you try, you won’t be disappointed! Valentina is the best!!

Heinously priced, tiny portions, mid quality. If you want to go out to a nice dinner in Palo Alto there are myriad superior options. Tamarine, Ettan, Ethel’s and Evvia all deliver SUBSTANTIALLY better experiences. The drinks were vastly undersized and disappointing; even Nobu delivers more value for the price. For a fancy night in Palo Alto it was a profoundly underwhelming – go somewhere else and have a more enjoyable dinner. See the photo of the $16 margarita below.

We such an amazing dinner experience! The steak frites was so incredibly delicious and so were all of the other dishes. We had such a lovely time. I highly recommend Zola! You won’t be disappointed!

If they had a happy hour then I could excuse a heavy sugary cocktail. For $16 a classic like Penicillin should be above average. Wait person walked up just now to ask how the drinks were and walked away as we started to speak.
