I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I grew up in Chicago, and now I’m in Omaha, NE. They really need to open up a restaurant here! Every time I come back to Chicago for a visit, I HAVE TO get a deep dish from here! This last trip, I even brought 3 home with me! Gotta get my Giordano’s fix somehow!!

The food was delicious and made for a nice father’s day celebration. They were a bit understaffed but they worked efficiently so it didn’t bother us that much. If you want to taste Chicago stuffed pizza , this is a must visit place.

The food is great, but the service (carry out order) was not very friendly. There is very limited street parking for this location. The restaurant is not very big either. I ordered a 1/2 beef meatball, 1/2 chicken sausage deep dish and I was really impressed with the quality of meat. Next time I will order just beef and no chicken sausage. The chicken wings are outstanding – I highly recommend the 1/2 buffalo 1/2 barbecue mix to satisfy both sweet and spicy cravings. The total price for this pizza was $29 after tax which is a little steep but that’s to be expected when ordering Chicago deep dish..the amount of cheese makes up for the price.

If you want to bring someone from another state to a pizza place for a deep dish this place is a safe reliable choice. I can’t say their pizza is the best. I will say it’s consistent and I have had great service every time I visit. It was reasonably priced and they didn’t go cheap on the cheese.

Valentine’s plans called for a deep-dish Giordano’s pizza followed by a 7:00 movie. Arrived at Downers Grove Main Street restaurant at 5:00 and promptly placed our order. Waited patiently until 6:35 for our pizza to arrive and finally gave up and left hungry in order to get to the theater on time. During the entire 95 minute wait, not a single update from our waiter as to why carry out orders seemed to be flying out of the kitchen on time, while all of us dine-in customers were sitting hungry. We weren’t the only ones who finally gave up and just left without our food.

There are 39 other Giordano’s locations in the Chicago area, and you’d be happier if you went to any one of them instead of here. The service here is very lacking (unless you’re a friend of the waitress), the food quality subpar (brown lettuce isn’t very appetizing) and they won’t let you order a custom sandwich (which literally every other Giordano’s will do). The location of this restaurant is convenient, but with these persistent issues, I can’t say I’ll be back.
