The story of Don Julio reflects a family tradition in the world of traditional Mexican cuisine, which comes from the great-grandparents of the current generation of the family.
In 1975, Don Sacramento Rodriguez opened one of the first Mexican restaurants in the United States, in the city of Athens, GA. There he developed from the hands of his wife Josephine (Doña Pepa) the most delicious recipes brought from his native Jalisco. This restaurant was called “El Azteca”. Today, Don Julio Mexican Kitchen and Don Julio Mexican Grill continues this tradition in the region of Central Florida, with its current locations in Orlando and Lake Mary, with the Chef Jesus Roman, who also develop recipes Doña Pepa with his own touch.

Came here for lunch at a group of 6 with friends a little after 12. It was not busy at all, and we were seated right away. We got complimentary chips and salsa for the table, which were good. The salsa had flavor and not spicy. I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos lunch special. It had great flavor, which I think this could be one of my top 3 for fish tacos. The fish was tender and moist. The service was great with the servers always checking on us. I would come back again for the fish tacos and try other dishes.

Do yourself a favor and check out Don Julios! The restaurant is clean and vibrant. The moment you step in and you hear the music, you just want to have a good time. The staff is friendly and inviting. The food is good and they have a wide variety of well and top shelf drinks. Friday nights DJ Natalia spins on the 1s and 2s and is she is amazing! She knows how to get the crowd going.

I ordered take out I had visiting this restaurant before but todo y we ordered 3 chicken burrito and one vegetarian the order come out in about 4 minutes omg it was horrible we had to throw it in the gavage it was horrible look pls pls don’t waste your money it was so much cheese so much sour cream that we could not eating horrible
