Came in at 3:00 for late lunch/early dinner. Hot link was rubbery and inedible. The brisket came out shredded and tasted like it was left over from lunch hour. I was thinking a slice of brisket would be nice, but no. They served me a burger bun for bread. If I wanted brisket sandwich, I would’ve ordered one. The beans were great as always and the fries were hot and cooked perfectly. Their black tea was great on its own as well as their lemonade that made.a delicious Arnold Palmer! Their KC style sauce had a weird chemical taste. Staff were friendly enough. Maybe the reason the food was so horrid was because of the time of the day I came in. I don’t know. Maybe better at lunchtime….

Not the most inviting looking place on the outside, or the most convenient to get in and out of, yet the inside was decorated quite nicely for a bbq place – custom engraved chairs, racing paraphernalia, plenty of southern-style signage and color. The menu was spread a little too far from the ordering station for newcomers, yet there was plenty of choice. And, the flavor of the food, or at least the brisket sandwich and baked beans that I had, was much better than I expected! Plus, their hot bbq sauce was good too! I’d come back!

Great food from great folks! Food quality is consistent, and if anything, has only gotten better. I enjoy that they have both vegetarian and meat options. Service is prompt and accurate. Pricing is great especially since its always a heaping serving. Steve and the rest of the team maintain a quality establishment that I enjoy visiting again and again. They also do a great bagged lunch that I enjoy providing for my work team at corporate events. Thanks y’all!

Just stopped in for the first time. Ordered a meat special for lunch, to go. The lady who helped me was super nice and informative. I’m glad I went with the brisket — it’s amazing! Decent mac and cheese, a little more watery than I prefer, but still tasty, and a really large side salad with yummy vinaigrette. I’ll definitely be back. This place is soooo much better than Lulu’s in Louisville.

Cute place, I liked the humor on the menu! Service was friendly. Unfortunately the food just didn’t impress. The french fries are definitely frozen with some skins on and some kind of starch coating that I didn’t like. The ribs I bought to try out were tug off the bone clean (good doneness), but were very bland and had zero bark, as if they hadn’t been smoked or had ever seen a live fire, they also didn’t have enough rub to give them any kind of flavor. The original sauce is ketchup based (like a lite Texas style) so not too sweet and had a little “tang” with a hint of black pepper.

I might be a little biased being from Central Texas and expecting something different. We ordered brisket, sausage and mac and cheese. It tasted good but I’d rather decide if my brisket needs sauce or not (the brisket had some slightly sweet bbq sauce mixed in). Sausage was good as was the Mac.

We made the mistake of going on a Sunday evening and it seemed like we got the leftovers from earlier in the weekend. The ribs were a collection of odd pieces and were kind of dry. All the food was basically room temperature. The cornbread was the best item we ordered.

First time here, and the food was great. The portions were plentiful and tasty. Plenty of sauces brought to the table to choose from. The only unappealing thing is the exterior appearance that needs work. The view of the backside driving into the parking lot is pretty terrible—leads to hesitation. The location could be much more appealing if it had a full exterior refresh. The interior is spot on.

Came in for dinner I have never had bad food or service. (I worked for brothers in my early 20’s. It was located on kipling and Morrison.) I ordered rib special @ 17.99 I would expect better quality. You get 4 ribs and 1 side. 75% of my ribs were so burnt that the meat was dried out and so hard I couldn’t chew. And when ordering my meal I felt very rushed to hurry up and order. I overall had a terrible experience. I did mention and show to cashier on way out and she said if you get the ends then that’s how the meat is.
