Food was meh in my opinion and overpriced. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and it looked amazing but was very bland as well was the home fries. My roomie had the huevos rancheros and wasn’t impressed either. There are better places in Ned to eat in my honest opinion.

Love the back patio (very dog friendly) and service. Band playing outside on a Sunday night was a pleasant surprise. Amazing hamburger! Finally… Actually fresh, hand pattied beef on a very good bun. New favorite place in Ned. Six stars if they didn’t have to close early because we all bought all of their food.

Loved it! Our waitress recommend all the barbecued stuff —which they smoke in house— and we had the brisket and pork and both were great. So were the homemade beans. Also, the price was very reasonable 12-14$/ plate. Atmosphere was a bit meh, it the food was really good.

It was great! Heather cooked my steak and eggs perfectly! It was a super comfortable place to hang out and read a little after breakfast, too! Dinner there last night was equally good. All of the staff were very nice, but if you visit on a Saturday, be sure to ask for Sally!

I’ve never been happier to lose one of my favorite mountain stops. The owner moved into this location from her old bar in Rollinsville. I’m so happy that this building is back in the swing of being awesome. And it couldn’t have fallen into better hands IMO. Thoughtful food, great service and locally owned. Go here! Eat great food! Drink great drinks! I’ll be back every time were in town. Thanks for a great experience, Branding Iron!

This is a fun stop in the mountains not far from Denver. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere is fun. Mostly mountain locals drinking until something bad happens, which (if some of the other reviews are to be believed) often does. The centerpiece of this unique bar’s decor are dozens of painted square wood boards screwed into the wall, each with its own kooky charm. My advice, stop in for lunch, I can imagine the place might devolve into something quite different as the blood alcohol levels rise throughout the evening. Unless that’s your sort of thing, that is.

I am not really sure why this place is so highly rated. We have been living in this area for 13 years. We decided to give this place a try on a winter Saturday night. The experience was less than desirable. One of the employees was getting drunk at the bar mixing beer with whiskey shots. He was loud, obnoxious and plain vulgar. The hamburgers were less than OK for a $12.50 or so price tag. Think of Boulder’s West End Tavern, Oscar Blues and Mountain Sun for excellent burgers cheaper than $12.50. If you are looking for a pleasant Colorado mountain town dinner experience, do yourself a favor, avoid this place and go to Crosscut Pizza or even Backcountry Pizza. Unfortunately Nederland does not yet have a decent hamburger place !

Upon waking in there was a menu to review and the decor is very nice, country / mountains themed. There’s a separate area where they have a pool table. The bar is centralized and the dining area sits with a great view of the stage for those live music nights. The outside seating is very pleasant.

Cool staff, cool place, but they were a little overwhelmed by all the Cornhusker fans (myself included) in town for the Nebraska versus Colorado game in Boulder. Definitely recommend checking the place out. No bells and whistles, but food was great and it’s kind of the perfect hole-in-the-wall bar for some day drinking.

The food is much improved and the service was excellent when we visited 12/2017. It’s a historic inn with typical “good pub food”. It’s well worth the visit for an authentic mining town bar experience. Locals and bikers riding the peak-to-peak who frequent the place play nice with the tourists.
