DJ’s Clam Shack St. Augustine Menu – St. Augustine, FL

Type : Restaurant

Location : St. Augustine, FL

DJ’s Clam Shack was created in late 2009 when two Florida Keys restaurateurs decided to combine years of experience to create easily accessible fresh seafood for Key West locals. The newly formed partnership was steeped in rich northeast seafood tradition, with one partner hailing from Ipswich, Massachusetts and the other from Blue Point, New York. This rich tradition has made its way to the beautiful St. Augustine Historic District, one of Florida’s most sought-after seafood destinations. As featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri in 2014 and again in 2020.

Based on 124 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 5.0 stars. Price

Tried this Key West established restaurant for lunch. Got the Lobster Roll and a Chicken Taco. Both were excellent. The Lobster Roll was reasonably priced at $25. The Chicken Tacos needed some sauce as they were kinda dry, but were still good. Cole slaw was good and is a large cut drier version.

We happened upon this brand new restaurant in St. Augustine. Downtown and on Hypolita street? Yes, please!

The owners are a really cute young couple and are working side by side with their staff all night. They comped our drinks with our order of lobster rolls and the rolls were just as good as you’ll find anywhere in New England. I would definitely come back when in town and would highly recommend for dinner.

If you’re looking for great seafood in Historic Downtown St. Augustine, stop in to DJ’s Clam Shack! Great food and awesome atmosphere. Island tunes play in the background as you enjoy the breezy outdoor dining area. The shrimp tacos were outstanding, and the clam chowder was second to none! Highly recommended!!

We had a group of 6 for dinner. We had read great reviews and had heard only good things about DJ’s Clam Shack…and we were not disappointed!! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the employees were happy to answer our questions and help us with our choices, and the food was everything AND MORE than we expected! They offer a great selection of items—even some items for land lovers! I will admit, we knew we were in the right place when we saw the “southernmost point” buoy replica in the courtyard!! Well done, DJ’s Crab Shack! We will be back for more!!!

This place didn’t disappoint at all. As many times as I’ve passed by this place and I’ve never tried it until yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious. The fish tacos were delicious and flavorful. The coconut shrimp were delicious and the portion was generous served with a sweet and sour mildly spicy sauce. Chicken tenders and fries were cooked to perfection. Had a Yeungling to go with that. Kids ordered the fish basket and beef hot dog. The beef hot dog was incredible. Served in a thick loaf that made it all the more better. Honestly I can’t wait to go back.

Maine Lobster Roll ($25) was awesome! It was the perfect size and amount to eat the whole thing in one sitting.

This is such an easy review. Whatever you’re considering, stop by here for a delicious seafood shack meal. Everything is fresh and made on the spot. The fried fish was mahi mahi today, and it was exquisitely done: just cooked through and the right amount of crispiness. The conch fritters were light and pillowy, and the steamed clams were flavorful and delicate. Although the fries were tasty, I do recommend upgrading to sweet potato fries and using ALL of the sauces. Bonus points for the cole slaw, which was not too saucy and wonderfully crunchy.

My wife and I are local and regulars in old Town. We wanted to grab a bite somewhere different. We heard about this place and it just opened so we gave it a try. Man, were we happy we did. My wife had a lobster roll with sweet potato fries and I had the overstuffed lobster roll (one on the left) with onion rings. Outstanding food across the board. Friendly people and one of the best lobster rolls I have ever had. Very excited to have this new place in our old town!
