Was pleasantly surprised by this strip mall, Philly restaurant. We ordered sour cream, tater tot’s, and original Philly cheesesteak and fried Twinkies. Met the owner who was an absolute doll & very kind.

The food is fresh and you can tell the owner pays attention to the quality and detail of her food . Jay the owner is so accommodating and great to talk to while grabbing a bite , it almost feels like you’re eating at a friends house . I love the burgers as you get so much for your money , another great food to try is the chicken . The chicken is never dry or overly greasy like culver’s or popeyes , it’s a great ratio of breading and meat . Best place to grab lunch or dinner after a long day .

I walked in expecting much more after reading other reviews. The young girl at the counter was very friendly. She rung up my order as “J” (I assume it was J) was on the phone (very obviously a personal call). After about a minute after I paid J told the person on the phone she had a customer. She then set the phone down and went in the back to prepare the food (no hand washing or gloves) grabs my bread with unwashed hands and throws some ingredients on the grill. A few minutes later I got the bag with my food and a thank you. I looked in the bag and wanted to turn around but just walked out disappointed by the handful of cold fries that barely filled the bag they were in. The sandwich was a little larger than a hot dog bun, unevenly filled with canned ingredients and I honestly feel the value for dollar was the worst of any place I’ve eaten recently. After eating a handful of cold fries and a not very tasty sandwich I thought I’d post this review. I don’t like doing this to small businesses but I honestly feel ripped off.

J’s Phillys was awesome! The food was incredible. J, herself, spoke with us and let us know her proceedures for making good food healthier. It made me feel good to feed my family her food. She was super nice and made and brought us the food herself. She was a 1 woman show that day and the service was excellent! You have GOT to try the garlic cheese curds… o.m.g. so so so delicious! I had the buffalo chicken wrap, my husband had the chipotle philly and my daughter had the hot dog and fries. The fries were extra crispy just how we like them! I can’t recommend J’s more! Everyone needs to make their way there!

Just tried their Chicken Sandwich and it was HUGE!! So good tho! You could taste how fresh the chicken was! My absolute favorite part was the cheese fries. The cheese sauce is seasoned but not spicy! I don’t do spicy foods and so I’m normally stuck with just bland cheese sauce but this was the exception to that!

Was told about J’s Philly’s from a co worker. He said it just opened up in Mokena and he came here with his family, he said everything from the burgers to gyros to the Philly steaks were amazing.

J’s Philly’s is a great place to grab a meal with a ton of unique food options. Very clean place and the food was amazing. We are so glad that they are here in Mokena! See inset photos and get here ASAP!!

The Philly Cheese Steak was a symphony of juicy meat and melted cheese, with each bite making me want to sing ‘Hallelujah!’. The Chicken Salad was a refreshing masterpiece, with the right balance of dressing and herbs. And those Tots? Tater-rific! All of this was made even better by the hilarious banter and warm welcome of the staff, making it a meal worth a standing ovation

Rueben sandwich (she cooks the corned beef herself) was one of the best I have had and I have had quite a few. . . The beef and sausage combo was huge and different from others, it came topped with peppers, onions, marinara and cheese, the sausage was good but didn’t taste like Italian sausage, had a slight smoked flavor. Definitely would come back.
