Do Yall have my grandma back there because this food taste just like she just got out the kitchen cooking it. This is truly southern style cooking. I ordered the Pork Chop Platter with gravy, Collard Greens and Yams. When I tell yall this food is so dang good!!! I wish I would have ordered 2. I also got a chocolate cake for dessert. It comes with a walnut on top which is a nice touch. Will definitely be ordering again. I wanna shake yall hands this food so good!

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back to CT. We found it on Yelp. The food was delicious! And the service was great. I had beef ribs with collard greens and mac and cheese. The ribs were so tender. The greens were good, and so was the mac and cheese. Thank you for a very pleasant dinner!!!

My mother was recently released from the hospital and had a taste for some soul food. I ordered from this establishment and had it delivered to her. It was missing both drinks, the mac&cheese was cold, and the texture of the sweet potatoes was very odd. This will be the first and only time I ever order here. I am also truly disappointed at the level of customer service displayed when contacting them about the lack of quality especially during this holiday season. The first red flag was trying to order and being notified to remove certain items from my cart because they aren’t available in store; collard greens at that which are a staple for soul food meals. My take away from this is standard training in customer service as well as a quality control check with the food to make sure items that are supposed to be hot remain hot especially when delivered within 5 minutes. Know better, do better.

I ordered the turkey wings and macaroni and cheese meal plus a chocolate cake a turkey wings were decent put the macaroni and cheese was past its due date in a fresher batch was needed. The cake was stale. For the price of 2199. I was very disappointed In the food that I received.

I’ve been going to this place for a few years now and will continue to support. If you are looking for some good soul food made by the hands of black folk then stop here and check it out. My favorite is the fried catfish which is so good. Fried to perfection and seasoned very well. I like to get cabbage and Mac and cheese with it. However I’ve noticed the decline in taste when it comes to the Mac and cheese and the cabbage. The Mac and cheese still has a good amount of cheese with those cheese nuggets buried everywhere but it doesn’t have much taste, nor does the cabbage. The corn bread is always pretty flavorful and sweet but I like mines warm and kind of soft but still holding together, which theirs is the opposite. I still enjoy theirs with my meal. The potato salad was also good, nice chunky potatoes with cuts of celery and mustard seeds but I like mine either sweet or seasoned more, so again just needs a little seasoning. The fried chicken is good, candied yams and collard greens from what I remember. I won’t say that this is the best place to go for soul food, but it is still really good and I would highly recommend over many other so called soul food spots.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I ordered a dish that was over $20 and ordered a small lemonade with no ice . The owner gave me the lemonade with ice in it and when I asked her for another cup so that I could transfer the drink into it she tells me they charge extra for no ice?! Excuse me. Why wouldn’t you state that before I paid then. She deliberately gave me ice so that I would get less lemonade, then when I asked for more lemonade (which would fill up my cup) she gone try to charge me $2 extra?!? That doesn’t even make sense. The food is okay and the portions are small. The lady will joke and laugh with you very passive aggressively and I was shocked with her behavior because she knows me. This establishment screws their customers over because they aren’t doing well financially and that isn’t right. Take it from me FIND ANOTHER PLACE ! I never wrote a bad review in my life but this one deserved it.
