Round two! this time, I decided to get the molcajete, which can easily feed 2-3 people. Horchata was one of the best, and I drank the whole thing, I usually can’t. This place does not skimp on sizes. The weekend special barbacoa is a must try also and don’t forget the Michelada made with corona. Afterward, you can check out the mercado next door. That’s where you pay for the chicken that is grilled on the side of the building.

I order a shrimp cocktail and it barely had any shrimp in it and I had to pay $22.99!!! I was very disappointed

Cute place with plenty seating. Servings are full plates and shrimp of large size and ok flavor. Salsas are spicy, try before putting all over food. Service was done halfway, there was only one gal waiting and cashiering.

Not any more. This was a great and fast place, but new owners took over recently and is really gone down hill. Service left so much to be desired and they’ve gotten extremely slow. The food quality had greatly reduced as well. My wife used to love their Torta, but it was so bad, we won’t come back.

Worse Mexican restaurant EVER! Went there with my family it took about 15 minutes a waitress to even acknowledge us.. Keep in mind the restaurant was not very busy. Took another 20 minutes for them to bring any type of chips or drinks. Once ordering I ALWAYS order my son’s food first and ask for it to be the FIRST to come out, I asked her to please do this… I ordered him 2 plain tacos…. after 40 or so minutes later they start to bring out food… My husbands food comes and then my sister in laws and I stop the gal, I asked her where was my sons food? She literally gave me the biggest attitude and said We are bringing food out as it was ordered?????? I look at her puzzled to why she was even giving me attitude to begin with.. I looked at her and very angry responded Did I not ask you to bring out his food first??? Was his food not the first thing that was ordered?? she looks at me and says I will bring it out whenever it gets cooked and walked off… I was so angry… My dad kept asking her for several stuff in one trips matter and she kept forgetting to bring something and he would ask for it and would give the biggest attitude EVER! I have never left a review on anything but this is a must… place is horrible… When it came to cashing out it took them the longest time ever to come to the register..

I usually always order my food via phone so they can have my order ready. They gave me a estimate time of 20 or 25 minutes y gave the 35 and I get there and they make me wait 15 minutes more. The staff is friendly but they need more help. I order some AguaChiles I get home and they gave my aguachile in a Sandwich bag and not even full and I paid 14.99. Not worth it.

If I could give zero stars I would! This place has terrible food and an odd smelling restroom. My plate had a taste that wasn’t supposed to be there. As in I ordered an asada taco and it tasted like tripa! And you can’t even get the attention of a waiters; all you see is them sitting down eating! Honestly it’s the worst place to eat.

Absolutely delicious. This is my go to spot when I’m in town. Its got that homemade food taste. The enchiladas poblanas are amazing and make sure to order the agua de horchata If there is any wait time as ive seen on some reviews, it’s definitely worth the wait. You will not be dissapointed in your food.

It’s was interesting cause they hardly speak English, but the overall experience was fabulous, the food was excellent very close to authentic.

Not sure what everyone else is talking about with their reviews. They must come here on Saturday or Sunday when it is the busiest time. Weeknights is never busy, lunch isn’t either. Have never had a meal take more than 10-15 minutes. The super hurache is very good, have had it many times. The guacamole is fresh made, the appetizer order is huge. Children’s menu available, I don’t recall the name but the tacitos shaped like a stick figure person are amazing. The chicken is smoked and is really flavorful. My kids and myself have had it a lot. Just beware of the green avocado sauce they bring with the chips, it’s very spicy! They also put it on the nachos. Crazy spicy even for my husband who eats all sorts of Mexican sauces. Woodburn’s Mexican restaurants are plentiful, they are all different and each have their own way of making sauces or meats. Honestly have favorite menu items at places all over town. Lastly this is the only place in Woodburn who makes Mexican breakfast dishes! No one else does. Chiliqueles (not sure spelling) basically baked tortilla chips with red sauce and over easy eggs. We’ve never seen this on a menu besides in Cancun. Despite the reviews, it is good and give it a chance. Never have experienced bad or rude service. Maybe people aren’t used to the culture. It’s not fine dining, it’s Mexican homestyle and these families are trying to make a living.
