Food was so good I had to try this location since it’s closer to me. Once again, the potato burger did not disappoint. Great staff and friendly service!

Party of 6, 4 were highly satisfied, 2 had ribs overdone.salads crunchy, baked potatoes perfect. Service was good. Drinks were cold with plenty of ice, condiments, fresh and plentiful. Needs a bigger parking lot during rush hour. Hot day, but air conditioning very comfortable. Quiet and family friendly, plenty of wetnaps and napkins. Didn’t notice any tv’s, or alcoholic drinks on the menu, bathrooms well marked and visible. I rarely give five stars, and it IS a barbecue themed restaurant so the crunchy ribs need to be taken seriously.

If I could give it 4.5 I would. The food was great! Our table ordered the Mac n cheese balls, kids sliders, brisket, and 1/2 bbq chicken meal, and it was all good, however I did find that the bread for the brisket was pretty soggy, maybe different kind would be better? My only complaint would be the wait upon ordering, which honestly was to be expected, and the waitress was frazzled due to the busyness and made a couple small mistakes. We will be back and I expect that the staff will be running smoothly in no time (I couldn’t be a server so I give them props). I will say that the trays the food came on were a bit off putting. Styrofoam for dine in? Plates would be much better for the feel of the restaurant and environment.

Just found out they opened up. Gave five stars because I know I’ll enjoy it. My wife actually worked for old hickory on main. Chicken is excellent also..just ate there today. Service was excellent, pork tenderloin was very good. Head’s up though, home fries were cold and limp. Easy fix if they are aware. Also, personally, I like coke products better but that’s just me.

Going to start off by saying they were doing great for only being open for 2 months. However, there are still a few kinks to work out. The menu says that you have 4 types of BBQ sauce to choose from, but they only give you the classic. It also states that you get a salad, baked potato, and roll with your meal. They asked which 2 sides we wanted and then brought us corn bread. Nothing major, just a little confusing when you’re trying to decide. The food was good for the most part, but the ribs and chicken were very small and didn’t have much meat, and the chicken breast filets were slightly overcooked. Also, if you have someone order a meat that needs to be cut, it would be nice to have something other than a butter knife and fork to cut it with – especially when the outside is a little well-done. With all that being said, these are minor issues and kinks that can still be easily fixed. The staff was friendly, and it wasn’t busy so we didn’t have to wait long. Our food came out quickly, and even though we didn’t order any, I noticed the appetizers came out very quickly.

Just what our little town needed! Delicious food, decent prices, warm & comforting dining area and very friendly management & staff! We’ve already eaten here a few times since they opened this location, giving us a chance to try a few different menu items. Have not been disappointed yet! From the burgers to the pulled pork to the ribs; the steak fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, coleslaw, salads…everything I’ve tried so far has gotten me craving their menu all the time!! Thanks Mike & Jessica for bringing such an amazing dining experience to Brookville! Finally some variety close to home!❤

I went in here expecting ribs that were as wonderful as the one on N. Main St. use to have. I was disappointed as the one on Main was similar to the one on Brown with a little less vinegary taste. The Ribs used to be bigger and more crispy. The sauce while sweet also use to have a great spiciness to it. This just wasn’t what I was hoping for. The BBQ chicken was great though, but I’m more a rib person and while not the great Old Hickory I remember, they weren’t bad. But I was looking for more than just “not bad”. I will add that the server was friendly, attentive and helpful.

This was the first time we visited this location. When we walked in we were greeted by 2 young ladies, Riley and Chassidy, they were both very friendly which is great when welcoming new customers. We were sat quickly and had the pleasure of having Riley as our waitress. Riley was very friendly and helpful. We appreciated her help with suggestions. The food came out quickly and the food was excellent. When the food was delivered it was hot. We were quite impressed with the young staff and how friendly they were. Great team. We will be frequenting this restaurant often. Great job all around. Will be recommending this restaurant to anyone looking to have good bbq.

Don’t make the same mistake that I did and assume you are going to the Old Hickory on Brown Street. Different atmosphere, different menu. That being said my wife said that her BBQ chicken was great. I am a rib guy and these ribs are very close to the Brown Street ones. Give these people a chance to earn your repeat business. The service was swift and pleasant, food came out in great time and was hot. The house dressing is the same as we are used to and they have the same tangy BBQ sauce I think, if is not the same I liked it anyway. The things that we missed the most were, the bread basket, hash browns with onions, steaks and a cold beer. I would recommend you try these guys. I don’t think you will be disappointed. We’ll be back and I think this place is good for Brookville. We wish the owners the best of luck.
