This night could not have been more magical. My wife and I came to Ruth’s Chris in Long Beach because of all the positive word of mouth. Everyone we talked to said that this was a great place to eat. This place was an absolute exquisite dining experience. Everyone went out of their way to make our night one that we will never forget. And it was. Kudos to Erik, Serena,Reuben, the wonderful Hostess or Shift Mnager ( pardon me, I forgot her name) and Moshe ( the General Manager who actually checked on us on two separate occasions), and all of the other wonderful staff of this phenomenal fine dining establishment. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel welcome. There was no waiting at all. The food was artfully prepared, the ambiance was cheerful yet elegant, and the table was surprisingly intimate. The attentive service, the meticulous attention to detail, and the overall pride of hospitality, was done in a manner that all restaurants should live by. My wife and I have always said that we need “our place”, and we just found it. Ruth’s Chris in Long Beach, you have earned our patronage for life. See you soon!

Last night of our two week trip to California we wanted to go to a really nice steakhouse and was recommended Ruth’s from the hotel. We had an excellent starter Caesar Sallad, but when we got the main course we were a bit less happy. The sauce that we had ordered did not come at first and we had to ask twice and got it after we finished half of our dish. The meat was ok, but not quite the premium quality I had hoped for. The dessert was also nice, but when we got the check the wine was incorrectly charged 10 dollar in total over the price listed on the menu. The manager took this serious when we pointed it out and in the end compensated us with 25 dollar for the two mistakes. That was a really good gesture and we left more happy than we were before. In total a nice evening but I think a place at this level would have more perfect service.

Consistently good every time! I love their wine selection. Food-wise, the stuffed chicken breast is my go-to but I’ve tried their NY strip and it was amazing! You also can’t go wrong with the sweet potato casserole.

TLDR: dirty napkin with booger, lobster was rubbery, au gratin had raw potatoes, the mashed potatoes had plastic butter wrapper in it. We paid $222!

Dinner at this restaurant. I finished all the food salad, main course and dessert. It was great. The wedge salad was so good. Definitely get the Seabass and the cheesecake. They even have happy hour at the bar. The happy hour drinks was great too…

Amazing service, we brought a dog but the patio was closed due to it being winter but we were still allowed to sit outside after manager approval. Waiters were very attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious, best steak I’ve ever had. Salad was great, soup was tasty, fish was fresh, and the sides were phenomenal. Drinks were strong and they had a wide selection. Their signature berry mojito was fantastic, the berries were fresh and the liquor was top shelf. It’s worth the extra to add lobster tail to the top of the steak, it’s buttery and full of flavor. Bathrooms are also very clean and modern.

Come to Ruth’s for a great steak, sides, and service, leave happy. Fine dining atmosphere; full bar & tablecloth dining areas. And like many true steak restaurants, if you order it rare it will come out a ‘true rare’ which is probably a little more rare than you usually prefer. But you can always send it in to be fired a bit longer if so. Glad we finally have a Ruth’s Chris in South Bay.

I’ve been waiting years to come here and I finally made it today! I ordered the burger and blend special they were advertising. The burger was so salty I couldn’t finish it, see photo. I thought it was due to the bacon and shoe string onions but I removed those and it was still too salty. I told the server but she didn’t appear to relay my comment to the chef.

Love Love love this place! I’m glad they opened up this location in Long Beach. Food was exquisite. Ribeye steak, potatoes au gratin were amazing but the cremini mushroom shook us to the core – it was so good! We just looked at each other and said “wow”. You have to try it. The bread pudding dessert was amazing. It is my favorite dessert and it was made well. Also to mention which made my heart melt, was the special touch of birthday menu and card on the table setting when we first arrived. It was very meaningful and memorable. I hope they keep that up.
