Update: had breakfast here again with family. Wish we hadn’t taken so long to come back. We love this place! The service is so polite and friendly and the food is fantastic. Several of us had the potato pancakes as a side and we all agreed they were the best we’ve ever had. I mentioned the server, Karin in my previous review. He is no longer there. If you’re looking for fancy or modern decor ambiance, this is not the place for you. But if you want great good and service, dine here. Little pricey, but worth it.

The food, along with children’s portions was excellent. Pricing is the only reason one star was removed. Nothing meal wise on the menu is under $10. Even the kids menue is $9.99 so plan accordingly to spend a decent amount if you have kids. It is however cheaper than eating at a theme park if you’re headed a block away to Santa’s Village.

East Dundee IL Location. It was a weekday around 10:00am Breakfast for two. They were not busy at all whatsoever. Service was very horrible and very super slow! We were both very dissatisfied and disappointed! Food was mediocre! After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes before our waitress first came to our booth after being seated. We asked her for two coffees and two waters and waited about 20 – 25 minutes for our coffee and about 35 – 40 minutes for our water. We both ordered toast with our breakfast but had to wait around 15 – 20 minutes after we received our breakfast and were more than halfway done before we even received our toast. We are also still waiting for our refill on water that we asked 4 times for! If we ever decide to go back, which I highly doubt we will, maybe then we will finally get our refill of water. The only thing our waitress was fast at was giving us our check.

When I decided do my review for this Dundee pancake house I was really hoping to give a five -star but honestly I couldn’t even give a three -star , and here’s why ! 2 visit my 1st first was May 7th 2023, 10-10:30am ,breakfast $$$$$ I believe anything good worth having is worth paying for BUT when you get food not that’s good and you $$$$$ pay a lot then it JUST OVERPRICED like I stated first visit not that bad BUT the 2nd visit 9:00-9:30am May 13th 2023, only 6 days later WHAT a difference a day makes on the 13th of May the service changed very borderline we was served bad orange juice not enough silverware or napkins we had to ask for water and the water tasted awful and had a funky smell & taste, back to the orange juice the kids was saying how bad the orange juice taste take the top off the orange cup the OJ was bad !! we told the waiter he took it back and brought us another one NO sorry , NO free OJ!! JUST a bill $87.74 , for me I’m sticking with Cracker Barrel….
