Sushi was outstanding! If you are in a hurry..this isn’t the restaurant for you. If you want quality food and exceptional sushi…definitely stop in. First time eating here..it is now favorite sushi in Tucson. Portions are huge and fresh. 5 stars..only rated 4 for service because it took quite awhile to get served

Ok, where do i start. I went to this restaurante 4 times in 2 weeks. Its really good, in all of the areas, according to the price we pay. Every penny it’s worth it. Sushi, Ramen, everything we ordered was perfect. Free parking lot with a lot of spaces. If you are visiting tucson, you can’t miss this restaurant. Just one note: always check the schedule of this restaurant, they word few hours, so.

The wife and I came on a Friday evening at about 7:30 based on the recommendations our dental hygienist and a co-worker. The co-worker’s boyfriend is a sushi chef in downtown Tucson so I was anxious as my previous experience had been only so-so. She gave me 3 tips and Shogun is closest. Good atmosphere, with a waterfall near where we were seated. Also with curtained booths across one wall (seating from 2 to 6) that must be reserved, first come first served. Otherwise, the atmosphere was functional and plain. But that’s what a sushi fan expects. Right?

Food is pretty good here and we enjoy it every time we go. The half price sushi is a great idea as well. This is a place you definitely want to try. The staff has always been friendly every time we visit here as well.

For more than 22 years, part of my Tucson visiting is a dinner with local friends in Shogun restaraunt. The same Best quiality as it was many years ago.

Looks like a monkey wrapped this sushi roll, it’s clear they have no idea what they’re doing in the sushi bar. Very mediocre sushi, way overpriced. I don’t understand why it’s always so busy. Don’t trust the hype.

It’s a great small local sushi place. I love the ala carte options. And it serves 2 pieces for each order. I love that. It was yummy. Everything was fresh, and they have specials daily. Some rolls are half off, so that’s also a great deal. It was a nice experience. Fast with preparing. Great service. Look forward to enjoying this place again

Do not ever order to go and wait! First off the sushi here is amazing. The chefs are efficient and I am guessing the key here is to sit at the sushi bar. I ordered 3 rolls to go. The restaurant was on the slow side and figured it would be out fast. I eventually saw what was my order get placed on the counter for the cashier. It sat..and sat..and sat. I thought maybe there wasn’t anything in the container. About 10 minutes later they picked it up looked at the ticket looked at me and placed it behind the counter. Watched multiple tables being served that sat after I had been there. After another 10 minutes they call me up and say your order is ready. I ask how long it had been there, knowing the answer, and he lied and said he just brought it up!? I told him I have been watching and saw when it came up and he just stared at me. Never again. Time to find the second best sushi in Tucson.
