First time visit on 10/2 for dinner. They do have outdoor seating, but it was a chilly, rainy day. We were seated immediately. Cozy interior was perfect for quiet conversation. I had a small cheese burrito and lime margarita. Service was good and friendly. Food was delicious as was the margarita. Will definitely be returning and often.

I love Alejandro’s and believe they are the best Mexican restaurant in town. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty (and portions are huge!), and of course they have their chips and salsa bar. Unfortunately due to the pandemic and the current economic situation, menu prices have gone up, and the salsa bar is limited to just six different salsas (I think in the past they had around 10 or so?). Just something for customers to keep in mind if they have different expectations. I hope they get their full salsa bar back and that prices can come down a bit.

In the historic city market area of Roanoke, Alejandro’s is a quaint offering that does not disappoint! I enjoyed the Guajas Burrito (chicken) which was served hot from the kitchen and was extremely flavorful and filling. Be sure to take advantage of the salsa bar that has a plethora of options, but beware—when they say hot, you should be prepared for hot. Not a complaint by any means. Great little place to eat in a really cool area to visit. Would definitely recommend to locals and visitors alike.

I’m on keto and we saw that they had a low-carb section on the menu, which is rare and greatly appreciated! I had the zucchini enchiladas and they were wonderful. Richard was our server and he was great, very attentive and very patient when we took forever to decide!

Traveled to Roanoke for a conference and this was the first place we stopped when we got into town. The food was a nice portion and delicious, well priced, and the service was great. I enjoyed eating here and even came back a second time during my trip. I highly recommend!

We were outside and the arrangement was a little awkward. The server was rather busy inside but got the order to us quickly. The food looked and tasted good. I had the fish tacos. The grilled was tasty but raw onion heavy. The fried one had a slaw with it and was even better. DO watch out for the chimichurry sauce…when they described it as hot…they were serious. They have 8 salsa variations for appetizers or your dinner. They were all tasty.

Went to this restaurant with friends, the waitress was super rude she talked about my friend in front of staff. She got upset when we didn’t order big dishes and the restaurant was dirty. The food was terrible and the chicken tasted like cat food. When paying for the meal the lady snatched my friends card out of her hand and charged her for the chips, she was the only one charged for them, will not be going back

The food is above average for the area and well priced. The service and location are extremely convenient if you’re downtown. Alejandro’s offers a much wider variety than Mexican restaurants downtown but may be less authentic than Tacos Rojas. Great stop for a quick lunch.
