Closest thing I’ve found to homemade! Truly a great family owned business. Went in my first time and saw the whole family working. Great breakfast burritos. Salsa is so good. Can’t wait to be back and try more!

Our first visit today for lunch and we had the taco platter. Soft and crispy ground beef tacos. We also ordered the chips and salsa(mild). The chips are wonderful and thick, not like the fast food type. The refried beans were great and I liked the rice as well. The tacos were great, corn tortilla for the soft was very good. I look forward to trying more of their menu. They gave us some samples of the green and the hot sauce. The green is amazing but has a little heat the hot sauce is hot.

As I’ve mentioned before in my other reviews, I like to find local or minority owned and operated eateries And, this is a gem. Anita is passionate about her cooking and service. Dishes are authentic and delicious. Portions might seem small, but that is reflected in her prices. Last time I had the breakfast burrito ($4 and some change). I could have ordered a second and been TOO stuffed. Going to go back and try some more food. If you are looking for a quiet, polite, and cozy meal… You really need to stop by!

Anita is a wonderful woman who pours her very soul into service to others. The food she prepares is as good as her heart is big. We’ve been eating here for years. Usually we eat in. But carry-out is always available. Ample street parking of the small lot is full…or just park at the market place and walk over. Just breakfast and lunch… No supper… So get tamales to go early afternoon and take them home for supper. Salsa is delicious too. Our go-to order for two is a burrito each, drinks, and chips and salsa for under $25 for everything. If you work or live nearby, you’d be crazy not to make this a fixture in your lunch options every week. We do!

We love Anita’s! Our favorite pupusas! Super friendly people. We like to stop in for a late breakfast or lunch after the Merriam Farmer’s Market. A great Saturday experience!

Finally stopped for breakfast at Anita’s on Saturday morning and it was delicious. We tried the chilaquiles which were so wonderfully prepared for my takeout order. Everything was nicely organized and the chips thick enough that they didn’t get soggy after taking it to go. Also tried the tamales platter which were wonderful. I loved the salsa and ended up eating it like soup because I didn’t have any chips to eat with it.

Family owned Salvadoran restaurant. Small and cozy. Wonderful tacos which we had on our first of many future visits.
