BEWARE OF POOR FOOD HANDLING! I used to love this place but haven’t been for a while. Now I’ll never go back, gave me food poisoning! Got the chicken teriyaki which I thought tasted okay at first, then I got a bite that tasted gross like bad chicken. Later that night and the next day I felt terrible. I know it was this food cause its all I had eaten that day.

This place is changed so much!! The chicken looked shredded the serving was so small unlike before. I ordered rice with vegetables ..I got white rice. The only veggie was cabbage…what happened to the rest of the vegetables..carrots etc.? I don’t know whats happening to restaurants. Its becoming low quality and higher prices!

Sarku Japan is the best place to eat in Valley River Center. The teriyaki chicken is great, the chefs are very experienced, and the value and portion sizes are excellent. They’re also very careful with food safety on the open grill. Overall, this is a solid place to eat.
