Amazing experience! This was our first visit to Boondocks but will certainly not be our last. We arrived shortly before noon on Saturday. There were several open tables. By the end of our meal, people were waiting to be seated. This food is top notch!

Have passed by here many times and usually lots of folks there. Finally stopped tonight and enjoyed our supper. Highly recommend the Twisted Green Tomatoes. Light, crispy, and flavorful. Not greasy! Also had a patty melt and fried okra. Both were good.

Found this place by driving by and what a hidden gem! We started with the fried green tomato’s and that had a spicy homemade dipping sauce that complemented the perfectly fried tomatoes. The brisket and pulled pork were cooked to perfection. Smokey flavor and very juicy. Potato salad, BBQ beans and coleslaw are all excellent and taste like homemade. We finished our lunch with a yummy peach cobbler. And the decor is warm and inviting. We will stop in if we are ever within 50 miles of this place again. And the service was a 10 out of 10.

Their takeout is amazing! The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was the best I’ve had in a long time. Crispy bacon, simply seasoned and perfectly cooked burger patty, nice fresh toppings, and minus the mayo. Just like I asked. The tater tots and fried pickles were really good too. My husband had the Boondock’s fries and will definitely be ordering them again.

Absolutely Love the Owners They are down to earth good hearted people , who welcomes you makes you feel like family.. The food is great it’s hard to find good ol made from scratch southern food now days but you can find it all here ! And the staff all are welcoming and makes you feel like family and right at home I recommend Boonedocks’s Cafe 100%

Food was good. I had the steak with green beans and fries. The steak was good on its on but didn’t seem like it was marinated. The green beans were good. The fries were basic crinkle cut fries. They didn’t have a special seasoning.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday they have a $20 ribeye steak special with 2 sides, and it’s not worth the money. Medium rare steak came out the consistency of worn out shoe leather, was 40% grisel and fat, and tasted as if it had been cooked on a flattop waffle house griddle that hasn’t been cleaned since the fall of the Roman empire. Had green beans and a loaded baked potato for sides. It should be illegal to call that potato loaded, as it is anything but. Just a pinch of cheese, a see through shave of butter and a sorry wilted excuse for chives. The only thing decent was the green beans, the only thing good was the sweet tea, with all the diabetes included that only a true southern restaurant can pull off. Wouldn’t recommend it, even if I was on death row and it was the only option for my last meal.
