In the late 1950’s Pete and Nicolette D’Arcangelo and their dear friend, Pearl Leonardis decided to start a pizza shop. Pete had just lost his job in the coal mines and was looking for a way to support his family. With their Italian heritage, they crafted a family recipe for pizza and started selling it out of their small grocery store. Over the years D’Arc’s Pizza has evolved into a full Italian restaurant but its values have not changed. It has been serving Abruzzo style pizza and Italian food since 1960.
With homemade with locally sourced ingredients, the owner travels to Italy yearly for authentic and family recipes. Basil is grown in the shop and the fresh dough is rolled daily. Open every day but Tuesday from 3:00 until 10:00 p.m.

Amazing Place! Old fashioned pizza shop, with pedigree that goes back generations! Pizzas are not the same old stuff you get at Dominoes, or Fox’s, or Papa John’s. These are fresh ingredients, authentic to their Italian roots! The price is just as delightful as the food! Have the meat & cheese board to start, then dive into any entree’. You won’t be disappointed, no matter what you order! Highly recommend D’Arcs! Get there early. It gets crowded, fast! Take outs are available, and customer traffic is steady! Just go!

My husband grew up in Winber, but somehow had never taken me to D’Arcs. I really enjoyed. I loved the historic building and memorabilia. The square tray pizza was delish and reminded me of the pizza we’d get at a bakery in the Italian section of town I grew up in near Boston. And the people were super nice.
