I’ve been here a couple of times and what a blast it always is! The chefs are amazing, hilarious, interactive, friendly—everything you want out of a hibachi show. The servings are plentiful, made correctly order, quickly and deliciously. The drinks are unique, fun and get the job of what an alcoholic drink should do done. Service is always prompt and kind, the restaurant is clean and engaging. Quickly becoming a regular place when I want a fun night out to eat. Thanks Kyoto, for the good times!

Checked this out for dinner. We made reservations and upon arriving there was a line with about 8 people in front of us so we never even got the chance to say “hey we made a reservation”! At that point they didn’t even ask people they were just seating anyone that came in. So we felt like making the effort for the reservation was a waste of time. They seated us after about an 18 min wait and we all sat at the table for at least another 15 min before anyone took a drink order. We had our soup and salad and still no drinks. Just as our dinner was getting finish being prepared the drinks did arrive. The staff were hustling so they are just short staffed. So be patient. I had the Filet Mignon Hibachi, it was ok. A lot of food for sure but not much flavor. My husband is a sushi guy so he order sashimi deluxe and the sushi deluxe. The presentation was really great. The fish was ok. Not the best cuts, ie, not the melt in your mouth sushi. But he said it was ok. It could be better but it could also be worse so if you like hibachi and are looking for something to try, I would recommend a try but keep in mind the items I mentioned so you are disappointed right off the bat.

Our visit to Kyoto was on a very slow Thursday night. Service was very good. The restaurant looked clean but as the eyes wandered you could tell that a higher attention to detail would help. There was a corner near the entrance to the kitchen where the servers had slid 4 to 5 tables together to act as a convenient staging area for to-go boxes, high chairs, extra utensils, plates etc. It would be far more attractive to just create a bussing station but…. oh well. The food itself was fantastic. I tried 3 different flights of sushi including the tiger eye, Buckeye, and snoopy. All were tip top. My wife tried the chicken hibachi and it was evenly seasoned and delicious. The gyoza to start was delicately pan fried and a great opener along with the mushrooms soup. The cost for two was just under a hundred with two sodas. Despite the idiosyncrasies we will definitely be back.

Service was on point, super quick. Food was absolutely amazing, cooked & served perfectly. The restaurant is so beautiful with so many different items on display. My partner and I got Sake(salmon) Sushi & Squid Katsu(calamari) as appetizers that came out great!! As well as Hot Sake & their Flaming Volcano bowl for drinks & some really delicious Hibachi.

This is a very good Japanese steakhouse, but giving it a 5-Star rating would be unfair to all the really great Asian restaurants in central Ohio. A 4.5-star rating would be more accurate, but google maps doesn’t accommodate that. The scallops were very good, and the steak was delicious. The salad dressing was a little too watery, but that seems to be common among many JSH’s.

This place was spectacular! I went to call in for reservations for 7 people, a few days later I had to call to add 2 more & they were super flexible with it. We went as a big group on a Saturday night, and even though they were super busy, it didn’t take too long to get us seated. Most of us ended up getting the Hibachi & it was super delicious. I ordered a plate of sushi & it was one of the best I’ve every had. The chef pulled off a great show & was very entertaining. The food was delicious, & I would recommend someone to go here.

We had a party of 9 with a reservation at 4:30pm (opening). We were the first party that arrived and were seated immediately. The food was ok, the service was ok, our chef was lack luster. When we left we stopped in the bathroom and it was FILTHY. Obviously, since we got there at opening, the bathrooms had not been cleaned since the day before. I reported that the women’s bathroom was gross, but no one seemed to care. I will not be going back.

The food is decent. Rushed service. They started doing the mandatory gratuity thing for 5 or more people including children. I do leave tips when we dine but mandatory rates means we will not be back with our family. The mandatory tip told the waitress that she could be rude and rush everything.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere, experience, and the decor. Japanese Steakhouse’s are usually my go to for a night out or celebration. The food here is most excellent! Will absolutely be coming back! Also, the egg yolk sauce is unbelievable!
