The shop claims its meat is Angus beef and has not been frozen before cooking. Well the AD&B burger I ate certainly tasted better than the M shop nearby. But then the sausage in the Chicago Hotdog just tasted like one taken out from a tin.

We stopped at a AD&B while at the Navy pier for a quick bite. They had a short line and we were served quickly. Service was just ok as I got the vibe that my questions were annoying the staff. Nevertheless we were treated well and served well. Fries were pretty good as they were hot and fresh. I tried a Chicago dog as I have heard much about it. It was decent, but I don’t think I will get In the future. All in all my experience was good.

Horrible experience. I was visiting Chicago from another country, and while at Navy Pier, we decided to get something at AD&B. We waited 25 minutes to get our food. After 20 minutes I approached one guy working (glasses and mustache). He gave me the worst attitude I’ve ever had from a customer service worker. I said I’ve been waiting 20 minutes, can you let me know when it will be ready. First of all…he referred to me as “Yo”. Then he said “can’t you see we’re busy. You’ll get your food when you get it”. I was LIVID. Needless to say, in my future travels to Chicago, I will never go back here again and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know not to as well.

The staff was very helpful and the service was really fast. The presentation of the food was good but the taste wasn’t the best

This place was okay was extremely busy, kiosks to side made ording quicker since the lady kept yelling at everyone to use them but people weren’t so we walked over and was able to place the order quickly, it’s not cheap for hot dogs at almost $8 a dog, the Chicago dog was standard and tasted good, the Alanta dog was pretty tasty, wife had some wrap, she said it was good but its expensive for what it is. Would go somewhere different if we ever go back to the pier.

The atmosphere was alright. It was a food court type area, good lighting, warm, and clean. The service was seriously lacking. 3 young/teen boys were preparing the food, or should have been. They were more worried about a girl sitting in the food court. The Chicago dogs we ordered were lacking. It was like someone who ate one once decided they could do that. There was little flavor. The bread was soggy and falling apart because of the juices from the relish. The hotdog was hardly even warm. The plus side, we were hungry and this ended that. It was almost $15 for these to dogs. You walk up to the counter and are instructed to place your order on a kiosk, and you self pay.

We came to America’s dog from out of town for an experience of Chicago’s Navy Pier. We left saddened by the fact that vouchers purchased (two vouchers per person) in advance were not honored. The gentlemen who denied our vouchers doubled down and called his manager who agreed that only one voucher per person. He was not pleasant and blatantly breached the contract that was established between the voucher company, and the food place itself. As it was very late in the day, many of us who had the vouchers were extremely fatigued and hungry. All we wanted was a simple meal, however we were only met with rudeness and extreme amounts of impertinence towards us who were obviously in the right. There were more than 20 of us who had waited arduously in the lines, but the we couldn’t even taste the food because of how enraged and humiliated we were.

I came to Chicago looking for the famous pickled Dog and found one here which was delicious! I’m from the U.K. and eating an American Dog on the Navy Pier was a bucket list item!

The people who worked there were extremely rude. The food is also super overpriced for the size. A tiny chili dog sold for $12. This place really killed the vibe of the Navy Pier. The service was terrible. Also, the fries tasted like absolutely NOTHING. Hot dog tasted like it was boiled. Cheese fries taste awful, the cheese made it taste WEIRD. The woman that seemed in charge was pretty rude, always talking with the kitchen staff instead of being focused on the customers trying to order and/or ask questions.
