Great food with decent prices. Laid back atmosphere. It can be a little dim and sometimes chilly, so bring a sweater. But the food is worth it. Pizza by personal pie only, not slice. Have a problem or concern, talk to the man behind the pizza! They’re very welcoming and will take your issues seriously. I don’t understand why people have one problem, and then come on here and post 5 bad reviews about 1 experience.

Great place good service. Food was wonderful ans the waitress we had was attentive. Only thing i would change are the menu prices, they are a tad steep. Lastly, the bus staff desperately needs more people skills. I know they are kids and that can be readily changed. Otherwise keep up the good work.

Just tried the Grist Mill for the first time. It was delicious. We had the wings, shrimp and grits and the paella risotto. Absolutely delicious. Loved every bite. The service was great. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again. Little hidden treasure in East Rockaway. Really recommend this place to everyone.

Excellent food, extremely impressed with both the quality of the food and the creativity in some of the combos. I have been here twice already one during soft launch and one after the grand opening, and there has already been a marked improvement. The portions are also notably very generous for the price tag.

This was our first visit 3/16/19. Upon entering the first thing we noticed was that there wasn’t any heat. It was very cold inside. Colder than outside. There were several people eating with their coats on. When we were seated the waitress came to our table to ask if we wanted anything to drink besides water. We requested wine. We were told at this point that they didn’t have their liquor license and that they only had soda or iced tea to offer. The beverage choices did not appeal to us so we decided to stick with the water since there was no other option. The busboy walked by several times without filling our water. The water glass was pretty small so we literally had to beg for refills multiple times. The reason I am stressing this issue is because what ensued after this was very upsetting. After we ordered our meal there were other tables seated right next to us that both requested wine, however they were treated differently than we were. They were also told that there was no liquor license and were immediately offered a complimentary glass of wine! I mentioned to the waitress that I thought that they didn’t have wine. Her answer to me was that when we were first seated they didn’t have the wine yet. Someone from the restaurant went out and got it. Is that a reasonable explanation? So I had to consume my meal surrounded by people drinking complimentary wine with an empty water glass! They were also provided with bottles of water for the table without asking. I’m sure that they didn’t ask because the tables are so small that we were on top of each other. I did not know that was an option. We most certainly would have heard it had they asked! The only good thing was the food. We were planning on ordering dessert but ended up so disgusted by the poor treatment we received and were so cold even with our coats on that we decided against dessert. Couldn’t wait to get home, have a glass of wine and warm up! Unfortunately even though the food was good, we were left with a bad taste in our mouth!

Their Black Angus Sirloin is pure heaven. Staff are friendly and always take the time to day goodnight when you leave. Heather on the wait staff is awesome. Food is unreal. Try their wings…a perfectly charred lemon flavor that is unique and delicious.

Middling higher end pub food, great service though. Not the best food, not the worst hence 3 stars. Giant fried chicken sandwich, moist, but lacked flavor. Not many places have pork belly, and I was excited to order it, but it was just ok. I won’t be returning anytime soon, too many other restaurants of this type that are better. Try it you may think different.

Fun, lively, upbeat place. Wonderful server. Started with lamb meatballs which were perfection then did a brick oven pizza, added some pesto for a personalization, was really delish. Will definitely be back everything looked fantastic.
