We had the pleasure of dining in at Mr. Wilder’s establishment and it was by far the best accidental find we have come across while living here. This business is black owned, and the owner and executive chef. Mr. Wilder was so kind and helpful. The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and we lucked up and got the entire restaurant to ourselves for a much needed parent night out. I cannot believe we have lived here for several years and are just now finding out about this wonderful gem! We cannot wait to return, if you have not come here please do you and your appetite, a favor, and go. The portions are phenomenal, and it offered so much more than what we were expecting. We cannot wait to return and see Mr. Wilder and his amazing staff.

We dropped in for lunch and enjoyed it. They do have a lunch menu. I appreciate that, I don’t always want a giant full lunch. The prices were very reasonable. We had the fried avocado for an appetizer. On the lunch menu they offered small plate appetizers. The dipping sauce was yummy. We also got the burger with egg and holidase sauce. It was very good. We also had the Aunt Nenny’s sandwich and enjoyed it also. The bread was perfectly crisp and buttery. The bacon was thick and flavorful.

The staff was attentive Now let’s get to the food, I had the Jambalaya ricotto and it was very flavorful, My wings were made just like I ordered. The Henny glaze sauce was my preferred. I did try the banana pudding and I wasn’t a fan of it. My Co Co mojito was ok, wasn’t too fond of the film on the glass, kinda of gave it an Alka seltzer residue look. Yes, I will return, to try something different.

Always good food at Wilders! Tried the house salad and cornbread this time. All very good. I’ve enjoyed their Friday fish fry, chicha roll, burgers, fish tacos, and the shrimp and grits. I’ve never been disappointed. The stuffed mushroom appetizer and fried avocado are also a must! The service is friendly, and I’ve always found it to be a great place to bring someone to have a conversation. It’s never been loud when I’ve been here and the atmosphere is very calming.

First timers here. Best calamari we’ve had! My husband says top five favorite place to get the appetizer from. The pieces were large, not chewy so I was surprised by the reviews on how the calamari was for others. I ordered the Bella sandwich. It was delicious. The citrus dressing was good too on my salad. My husband really liked the lobster mac. There were large pieces of lobster in it and a generous amount at that. My son loved the wings. Such a hidden gem. So happy my husband stumbled upon them. We will definitely be coming back to try the prime rib special!

Food was very good. Appetizer was good, little light on the amount of pretzels to the amount of dip but all good. Burgers were delicious as were the fries and tots! Service on the other hand was not good at all. We had to ask for our server sever times. He barely spoke to us. It was us and 2 other tables at lunch time so it was not a busy factor at all. 3 servers for 3 tables and we felt like we had to beg for service. Not sure we will come back. Very plain with prices that want them to be high end.

I was surprised it wasn’t very busy when we visited. Food was very good. They had an interesting variety of menu items and I had difficulty choosing. Will definitely go back and try other items. Service was fast, helpful and friendly. Drinks specials were interesting and very good.
