Pizza was ok…crust was very thin.. a little thinner than expected from what I am used to for a cracker crust Chicago style pizza but the flavor was decent. The service was decent, but a little slow also with coming out to the table and with drinks..the timing of the appetizer and the meal could have been better done since they came out only a couple minutes apart and they didn’t appear busy on a Wednesday night.

Service very fast…but pizza was burnt? Company offered refund to remove review but no payment reimbursement ever made. Have several consumers post burnt pizzas…so unless you like it that way, suggest you look at another pizza joint!!!

Sam’s Pizza was recommended from the Hyatt Place. The pizza was delicious and the crust was made in house which I was told. I had the Cheeseburger Pizza, small, along with Jalapeno Poppers as an appetizer. I was told the jalapeno poppers were also made in house. The two pints of beer was a stout beer from Backpocket Brewery. They were all delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly. I visited on a Thursday night and the place was not packed but there were quite a few people. It was also Trivia night with some prizes being awarded at the end. I enjoyed my dinner and the atmosphere. I would recommend this place. My meal with the two beers was less than $50. Which included the tip. Definitely try the pizza.

Had pizza and wings delivered. Completely got the order wrong. Pepperoni pizza was delivered instead of sausage. This use to be my go to for great pizza, not anymore. Way too much sauce and burnt. The last three orders have not been correct. Strike three.

I love this place! I was told about it by a co-worker about a week ago and haven’t looked back ever since. I always order the thin crust bbq chix:) I particularly liked this place much more today. I put in my order, took about 10 minutes to get everything done. Then!!! I had the chef come out and personally deliver the pizza to me:) He was kind really nice and wished me a good day:) I really liked that! I’m definitely going back haha! Thank you Sam’s pizza:*

Uncomfortable seating is the biggest negative about this place- hard wooden chairs, or really small booths- your choice. They still haven’t put doors on the toilet stalls of the men’s bathroom- it’s been that way for many years, are they trying to make it feel like a prison or? -Seems like they’re just too cheap to repair it.

This is a great place to go during a Hawkeye game or just out on the town. My wife and friends were there during the Hawkeye Basketball game and we enjoyed everything about the evening. We all were happy with the quality of food and the fine service we received. This is restaurant that makes you feel welcomed as a person and appreciated as a customer. There is no better place to enjoy the atmosphere of a Hawkeye game than Sam’s. (I do like the bell going off for each touchdown by the way).
