Came in on a Tuesday night for dinner and everything we ate was delicious. Definitely recommend a reservation since we had to wait even for a spot at the bar. Once seated Anna the bartender was quick to help us and gave us some great recommendations. The snapper was probably my favorite thing we ate aside from the cheesecake. Delicious gin and tonics as well. Definitely recommend trying it out. Super cute spot for date night or just a quick cocktail.

We loved Mabel’s. The basque inspired food with California ingredients is a winning combination. They are serious about their food but light hearted in their vibe. Amy the GM was very attentive to us, changing our table without us asking after sun shone in our eyes. Their gin drinks are creative and they do great G&T’s. Their bottle shop next door has excellent deals on fun wines and spirits.

If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Spanish cuisine, then Mabel’s Gone Fishing is definitely worth a visit. The Spanish tortilla is a must-try dish – it’s prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in a truly authentic taste that will transport your taste buds straight to Spain. The blue tuna is another standout dish, with its fresh and flavorful taste that will have you coming back for more.

If you like both seafood AND brunch, I don’t think anywhere nearby is better than Mabel’s. This place is memorable, craveable, and innovative. The drinks are a gin and amaro- featuring revelation. The wine selection is natural-focused and superb. I am not a fan of Spanish food, generally, but I have to go back for more of their tortilla Española. The service was warm, responsive, and knowledgeable.

I was able to secure an outdoor reservation on Tuesday night about a week in advance. I was about 10 minutes late and didn’t detect even the slightest hint of frustration from the hostess. I was allowed to pick my table, which was a nice privilege. I had really high expectations given the buzz. I ordered the mackerel, fried potatoes, swordfish, and cheesesteak. I wasn’t disappointed, but I wasn’t wowed either. Everything was good, but I didn’t eat anything that was dying to try again. I also didn’t enjoy the cheesecake that I ordered for dessert. It was too salty. If you’re a gin lover, they have a good selection of cocktails. I ordered two cocktails, one of which I didn’t care to finish. Although, I didn’t drink wine, I noted that they had a nice selection of Portuguese and Spanish wines. I loved my server, Andrew. He used my name a lot which was a really nice touch.

We went to Mabel’s for our anniversary and had an incredible experience! Our server, Sophie, was attentive & genuine, and at the end of the dinner felt like a friend. The hospitality from the General Manager, Amy, was exceptional!

Really enjoyed happy hour here. The gin and tonics are extravagant and highlighted the whole dining experience. The mussel escabeche was my favorite small plate on the appetizer menu. Baja oysters were nice too. For a hearty happy hour experience they also serve a full ham and cheese platter. Since they didn’t have an upcoming reservation right after happy hour ended they let us have the table an extra 45min and let us try some dinner items. Mushrooms with egg were delightful but the real star of the show was the swordfish snitzel. Deep fried swordfish gave the often times firm to dry fish a richer delicate texture that you could cut with a fork. Genius!

Mabel’s, Mabel’s, Mabel’s… what have you done to me. You somehow not only drew me in with your very intriguing food and drink menu but you then somehow left me smiling as I walked out knowing I just dropped a days worth of work on you. I opted for the “servers choice” kind of night so it consisted of a five plate course and the best suggestion of drink. The ambiance is dim lit and swanky. Makes food a good date night or fancy night out with the friends. Reservations are scarce so jump on them sooner than later. I’ll keep it simple. If you like food and drinks… you have to stop by and give Mabel’s a try. On cool days/nights, you even have the option of outside dining but I personally prefer indoors despite the tight seating.

One of a kind, sweet little spot in North Park. We sat at the bar and were quite entertained watching Danny make beautiful cocktails nonstop. Menu was varied and the food was delish! Potatoes are a must…enjoy!

Great addition to the neighborhood – small plates, good portions! We shared the olives, almonds, and bread. They were fine. We had the clams in a ham broth and beer battered sandbags with broccolini. Overall, good food, varied cocktails. I tried the 50/50 martini and it wasn’t for me. I ate all of the frozen coconut cream dessert tho!
