Vibes were immaculate, but the food was just okay. The atmosphere has really cool lighting and decorations, definitely a fun environment. The bar is also very fun. However, the ramen itself was a little disappointing. The presentation was super nice, but the broth wasn’t as flavorful as expected. Still a place worth checking out though!

If I had to say one bad thing about this place, it would be that there really isn’t much on the menu l, But the food that IS there, is fantastic!

Place was super cute, very nostalgic and cultured. Made my wife and I feel like we were in an authentic ramen place in Japan. Our waiter was nice, our drinks were a little watered down and the seating is very close to others. Food took a while but it’s because it was fresh and hot when it arrived to out table.

The exterior and interior of the restaurant are fun! I was looking forward to trying this place after seeing pics of the food. The ramen was decent. Our server seemed overworked. I ordered a lunch special, which included a drink, so I ordered the iced momo oolong tea. My husband got his lemonade right away. I was told my drink would be coming out soon while I was waiting on my food. Then our server brought out our food, thanked us for our patience, and walked away before I could say anything about not having tea. We were not checked on while eating. As I was taking the last bite of my food, our server brought the tea. I asked if I could get a to-go cup for it and was told there were none. No sort of resolution was offered. I do not plan on coming back.

The atmosphere of the place was great. Fun and authentic. Service was okay. Not great. But quick. Rich Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen (pictured) was fine. Broth was ‘okay’. Prom was great. So was the rest of the content. Veggi Ramen (pictured) had a great broth. Don’t forget to add a egg to it. Sake tasting platter (pictured) was a good idea. But best to chose your taste and stick to it. All in all a pleasent Ramen place.

Fun ramen bar in Dunkirk square. They sadly only had about a third of their sake menu available. The service was impeccable in the environment was really cool, it certainly doesn’t feel like you’re in Indiana! The ramen was amazing. Flavorful and rich.

This is the best ramen I’ve had since going to Okinawa. The spicy veggie ramen is absolutely incredible. My husband doesn’t get too excited about food typically, but he loved this place. He couldn’t stop telling me how amazing it was while we both inhaled our ramen. The vibe is Tokyo at midnight…and the service was fantastic as well! This is one of my new Bloomington favorites! So freaking good!!

Yatagarasu is one of Bloomington’s best hidden gems. The vibrant aesthetics throughout the restaurant paired with quick service and delicious food calls for an unmatched experience at a low-medium price point.
