I was in the area around lunchtime and as soon as I saw the NYPD sign and familiar exterior, I remembered how much I like this place and their pizza. I went in and said, “I’ll have a table for one.” Obviously I hadn’t been there for a while, haha, because now you order & pay at the front counter, fill your soda without waiting, and a good-looking guy brings the hot, melting pizza to your table.

Pizza was good! One of the closest to authentic NYC pizzas I’ve had outside of NYC. We ordered for delivery to a local hotel and our food arrived in about 45 minutes on a Friday evening. Delivery driver was friendly, and called as he was pulling into the hotel so we could meet him in the lobby. The only thing that was not 5 stars were the garlic knots. They looked like rolls with some spices on top and were not appetizing at all. But I would definitely order the pizza again!

Decide on delivery because I was at work. The delivery time was going to be 45 mins. No big deal, it’s a Saturday, the pizza was delivered in about 15-20mins. It was hot and yummy! 4 stars because the pizza was greasy.

I ordered THIN crust but got hand tossed. I was given a 10% discount which I’m appreciative of but I don’t like any kind of crust except thin so I scraped off the ingredients & didn’t eat the crust. We’ll be back as we LUV this place!

I write this review with the last 1 percent of my phone, this experience was so positive that instead of saving my battery in case I have to make an emergency call or take a call from work I had to sit down in the car and write this. The service here is phenomenal and extremely friendly with a hearty sense of New York hospitality. The Service alone could earn a 5 star review but the food here is impeccable and truly they provide you with an amazing slice of za. Do not be persuaded by the oreganos across the street, this place is far better than it. Highly recommend NYPD pizza if you are in the area.
