Lots of seating inside, several tables set up along the outside overlooking the river. Food was very good and easy to order from your table. Great beer selection and hard alcohol as well. Very friendly atmosphere and service. They keep up with keeping the tables clean! It states that dogs are not allowed inside but there were a few on leashes, including ours! Would recommend the fish tacos and quesadillas! The fried pickles are also really good and crunchy and not too greasy! They have their own underground parking lot on the street just above the restaurant with a staircase leading down from the street. As well as a few spots on the street.

Fabulous summer spot with indoor and outdoor seating right on the Mississippi River. Drinks can be ordered when walking in, food can be ordered at the table using a QR code. My phone was on the fritz so I was able to order where one orders drinks which is nice (especially for those without smart phones). Food, drinks, and atmosphere were lovely. A huge plus is that it is dog friendly and they’re were games that one could pick up and play. Parking may be tough to come by but this would be an ideal spot to bike or scooter to as it is right off the path along the Mississippi.

First, the positives: the location can’t be beat. It’s housed in a beautiful old brick building that is open to the riverfront. The bar is very good, with a generous selection of tap beers and ciders, and the bar staff are friendly and efficient.

Food is very average, nothing special, and pretty bland. Burger buns were quite cold. Nachos were okay, with toppings added from salsa bar. Beer selection very good. Burgers, overall, are just a bit better than you’d get from a gas station heat lamp.

Great atmosphere on the river! The food was great but was very small portions for the cost. I wish the large barges were not up against the break wall because they are eliminating the view of the river pretty much entirely. But we would come back.

Labor day, was medium busy when we arrived, but most people had their food. We ordered for 4 people, wedge salad, burger, pork nachos, but, fries. It took over 45 minutes to get out food, with me watching them in the food truck window with about 15 baskets of food in front of them and they were staring at the tickets, confused. My daughter ordered a cheese burger with lettuce, tomato. Pickle – which it comes standard, she got a burnt, plain, cold, burger. I ordered pork nachos, no pico- allergy to tomatoes, they put pico on my nachos. My mom ordered the BLT no avocado mayo, she had to tell the woman not to put it on her sandwich. My mom was up there waiting for her food last. I saw the woman in the viking shirt wore her nose with her thumb with gloves on, then pick up a hamburger bun. My mom, myself, and a guy from another table went up to check on our food, side there were so many baskets – we figured we could help them figure it out. The guy got his food, I took ours, they told my mom that she would have to wait longer. My mom asked “can you tell me how much longer? Is been 45 minutes, and I just ordered a BLT.” The vikings shirt woman snapped back at my mom ” I don’t know if you noticed, but we’re busy!” There were 3 people in the truck, there were 3-4 tables waiting for food. I scolded her back when she snapped at my mom “I get being busy. But this is ridiculous, it’s not complicated food. It’s been 45 minutes and our orders wrong!” – if you’re wondering if I’m a person that complains about busy restaurant – I worked restaurant for 15 years, I defend service staff and busy spaces. This was awful, and it takes a lot to get me to say that!

Oh my gosh, I used to love coming to Red River Kitchen! I particularly loved to visit on warm days in the summer months when I resided in MPLS/Saint Paul. The food was always delicious, the staff were always so nice, and the location was SO lovely! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great spot next to the river to soak in the summer river vibe, looking around to see if maybe Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are coming up-river. Fun for playing Cornhole and Jenga or having a craft beer or wine.

Very good food, and what an atmosphere, next to the mighty Mississippi River. Great stop if you’re on the bike trails or walking. Cars work too with parking close by. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.
