I received the chicken plate today. The customer service is usually always on point. They will keep the line moving. Chicken will always have that satisfying crunch of the skin and it juicy throughout. The potato salad and coleslaw has good consistency and texture. Even the hush puppies had a good cook on them, the only thing was they were lacking seasoning. This location is good if you do not want to be overwhelmed with seasoning so usually it will hit the under. Still a good place to come to.

On our way back from Wilmington, North Carolina to side road to get to this Smithfield barbecue location out there as soon as the doors open at 10 AM greeted by the most wonderful woman with the best service. I told her we were taking a cold and she packed in an ice for me so that we can, get it home safe the service we received was excellent and the barbecue was excellent. I can’t wait to get home to my father. He will enjoy it and we enjoyed our visit at Smithfield barbecue.

The food here is delicious. My husband and I usually will order a barbecue platter. You can’t go wrong, from the fried chicken,slaw,hush puppies and fries. The banana Pudding is also good. I also have to order two quarts of the delicious Brunswick stew to go.

The employee working at the register was having a difficult time putting in our order. The Manager and other employees were too busy to assist her. Once we got our order to go and got to the car, we realized the 3 orders of fries were missing.

First time and it was decent. I could use more vinegar on bbq, chicken was tasty, hushpuppies okay. I didn’t like that the chicken is in a box that can be vented but they weren’t punched out so the chicken sweats. Hushpuppies are put on top of bbq so they end up soggy. Bbq is sitting in liquid and not properly drained. I would still go back.

My rating is low because I went thru drive thru I was the only car and plus parking a lot was slim too So I feel there was no clear reason why my order was processed incorrectly!! After driving home for 30 mins the main item order was missing ..The next day, I go back all they offered was to give my BBQ they missed and potatoes salad and Cole slaw.. but the ending y’all as he walk away “Oh and sorry ” I walk out shaking my head .Not in pressed at all!! Nothing sincere about the whole deal!!
