I definitely slept on this restaurant because of it’s fusion style. I’m usually against fusion style Caribbean food. But I was wrong on this one. The food here was fire. Specifically the create a bowl option. The rice, jerk chicken and the platians was a good mix. A good portion and the staff is great.

Food was great! Will definitely be back. The atmosphere was ok. Honestly I don’t want to walk up to a place that smells like weed. Granted it was outside where the smell was coming from. I could’ve been walking by someone that smelled like that. I wouldn’t know but would’ve been better if it was there. Enough about that packaging was also great! I love their bags.

Let me start this review by saying that my food was good. I got there an hour before close, they were out of dark mean jerk chicken which I had already ordered and paid for. I got something else instead which was actually $2 less. I didn’t make a big deal, I was getting food. I asked for extra sauce for my food and was told “no, only one comes with it” very rudely by the team member. I then asked how much additional sauce as, she said “only one comes with it.” This is not service I would return for. The kitchen does amazing but the front of house here fails. Although the food was good, I won’t be back. Hospitality goes along way— and they don’t have it.

I had the chicken jerk tacos with the cucumber salsa, and wow! So good! The food was very flavorful, however I went there pretty late at night close to midnight if not after so the chicken was a little dry, idk if it was because it had been sitting a while or if the chef overcooked it a tad bit, but nonetheless it was still delicious and I would definitely order from here again. The service was good, I can’t remember the guy that prepared my food but he was super cool, very friendly; while there’s not a ton of seating there are seats by the window and near the register, but this place is mostly a carry out spot. Although The Angry Jerk isn’t local to me, but if I’m in the area I would definitely stop in.

This was my first time actually coming, however, I had these wings last week and they were slammin, so i came back when I was in the area.

The chicken was really dry. The atmosphere was spacious. The staff was super nice. Next time I’ll order one of the curries or stewed meats. I did come. At the end of the day, so that could have been the reason for dry chicken. They give loads of friend yuca! I’ll definitely be back.

The food didn’t look or taste fresh. The buffet style left the food dry. We opted for one entree based on the looks of things and it was disappointing. We ordered the salmon. $26 The food wasn’t authentic Jamaican style. The portions were small. There were three pieces of plantains for the entree. (See picture) The branding on the carry out bag was nice. I am hoping things look better for this business. The restaurant was undergoing renovations when we arrived.

I was passing through this area on Sunday and I wanted some Caribbean food and I’m so very HAPPY that I stopped here. The wings and fried rice was excellent! I wish I had tasted it before I left the area because I would have doubled my order! I recommend and will definitely make the journey to go back! Great job, chef! Come to VA lol

Hello, I saw this restaurant and decided to have dinner. I ordered it in and got the pulled jerk chicken bowl with steamed cabbage in the side also a side of jerk sauce. It was very tasty and it didn’t take to long to come. My meal consist of jerk chicken, corn, pineapple mango pics, cucumber salsa. It was post to have tropical creamy sauce but that was missing. The dish was so delicious I didn’t care and I took my time ate some saved some ❤️❤️ Check them out you should be satisfied..

I ordered the Jerk Chicken entree instead of the bowl and they literally gave me about four tablespoons of rice to cover the bottom of this one square and three measly plantains. For my two sides. The jerk chicken tasted old and they drenched it in sauce to cover up the fact that it was old. Last but not least the person that served me my order was rude. Just placed the bag on the counter with not even a thank you. I will never patronize this business again and spend my $20 elsewhere at a mom and pop Jamaican restaurant that doesn’t skimp on rice, which is the cheapest part of a dish.
