Charming and cozy. My first experience here, I arrived around 10am. It was quiet and warm on this cool, rainy day. Soft furniture, books, and regular chairs/tables. Barista was welcoming and friendly. Mocha was delicious and my muffin was tasty as well. Hope to return.

One of those places that you would never notice. I’ve driven past it many times, not knowing it was there. Another example of Google reviews is finding places you usually wouldn’t go to.

My wife and I came by this place by chance on July 4th, 2023, and loved the whole atmosphere about this cozy cafe. I have found my new hot spot for morning coffee. No need to get coffee for “points” anymore and the coffee taste better than the mermaid one by the mall. We will be regulars from this point on and will tell a friend or two and three. A great place and the guy behind the counter had a great friendly attitude, and awesome customer service.

Was trying to find a local coffee shop in La Mesa near Grossmont center and this place is so cute. The coffee was high quality for a very affordable price. Very happy I ended up here, and will be returning soon! Support local business ❤️

Cute, small coffee shop. Worker was helpful in providing me with the options. Got a toasted marshmallow iced latte and didn’t have high expectations, but I was happily proven wrong! Honestly one of the best coffees I’ve had in La Mesa. Not to mention the price. Spent about 5$ for coffee and a baked good, which hit the spot. Will definitely be back again and look forward to when I do!

Super cute cafe. Cozy and comfortable seating. Delicious strong coffee. I had a cappuccino and I would order again. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly. We would definitely come back.

I have always like this place. I remember the original owner and when it opened under his watch. It is a little out of my way. I went there recently, one Tony new hair salon, after we went to purple, and I’m normally masked up, noticed the sign, no mask no service, wanting to find and support a small business owner coffee shop versus a huge conglomerate shop. So after visiting about 4 times, I encounter a man walking in without a mask, not donning a mask, and another man without a mask, sitting in the shop, reading, not drinking coffee. I’m waiting for my coffee and also see 2 young people behind the counter, one not wearing a mask, but who quickly put on his mask after seeing me. My instinct is to leave, but instead I order what will probably be my last cup from this place after I ask the young lady about customers and mask wearing. She replied with “oh, they are regulars” to which one of them piped up with a defensive stance comment. Back to the huge conglomerate shop I go for now. Their coffee is good. This was red flag #2, as the 3rd time I went in there, the same girl was there, but not the younger guy who charged me $1 less for the same coffee. The girl’s response with my shortened version was that he never charges for extras. OK

Marcella June’s Coffee is a small boutique that serves great fresh-ground French Roast coffee. Most coffee shops use Espresso.

Best coffee! There was this super cute couple working behind the bar and gave me the best american macchiato that i’ve ever had! Seriously, they’ve got great service and coffee.

After reading great reviews I thought I would check out this place. It is a cool little spot in terms of its look but I couldn’t help but feel that I was inconveniencing the woman working there. When I asked if she had any recommendations for cold drinks, she treated me like I was stupid to even ask. The WiFi signal was also sketchy and kept cutting in and out. It was to the point that I couldn’t even do my work since it is internet dependent. And at that point I didn’t feel like inconveniencing the woman again to try and reset it. I’m sure the owners of this spot are very nice but the employees they hire have to also share that warm attitude. I’m going to pass on this place and stick with a more friendly local coffeeshop with reliable internet.
