Traveling back from DC stopped into this place. The wings were on a lunch special with French fries , had a burger and fries and French toast with eggs, and a cheesteak. Everything was, for the most part, basic. The hamburger seemed like it was homemade and good. The wings were good as well. The cheesteak was a bit overdone if that’s a thing. What I mean is that the sliced steak itself looked like it was on the grill just a bit too long, and I would have preferred the lettuce and tomatoes on top and not under the meat. (Take a look at the photo)

The food was good, the service was decent. Pancake platter, with fried eggs and double bacon (comes with half bacon half sausage or you can just get double of 1 meat). Affordable prices, my total was less than $15. My waitress checked on me once after receiving the food, my silverware had a stain on it. The restaurant unfortunately looks like they’re stuck in time. They have a jukebox.

This place all in all was pretty good The only downfall with this place was my food was slightly overcooked. I ordered the sampler appetizer and some of my appetizers were extra crispy. Our waitress is very nice and the atmosphere was pretty relaxing kind of a hole in the wall spot. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmesan and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy that. The chicken was very juicy. I will say they have really good ranch.

What you see is what you get! Aberdeen diner is a really old school diner serving good food. Nothing fancy, it is a simple diner that is full of regulars and keep the coffee coming! A good visit here with no regrets. I had a Western omelette with home fries.

I can’t believe after more than 7 years in the area that we haven’t even step foot in this wonderful diner. It’s easy to overlook with the surrounding area, but I tell you that the food that we ordered on a Friday morning for breakfast was out of this world. My southern hubby raved about their biscuits and gravy and I had a perfectly cooked steak with a beautiful charred. Coffee was great, smooth and no after taste. Our Waitress were awesome. We will be a regular!

My friend got the chicken and turkey bacon sandwich. I got the spinach and feta omelet. Both were delicious, our waitress was very attentive.

Visited and tried the French toast, which was really good. The sausage patties were also good. However the butter on the toast was a little chalky and didn’t taste well, so thought I’d mention that. Service was great. Got some odd looks from customers when I walked in, so that’s a little weird. But a decent experience overall

Well….the food was just decent. It wasn’t “oh I want to come back here” but it also wasn’t ” I’ll never come here again”. It was just food, if that makes sense. It was clean from what we saw. I didn’t visit the bathroom and it appeared as though they were in the process of some type of renovations, as half the dining area was closed and looked to be somewhat of a storage area almost(I believe the chairs were just stacked up and sitting in the closed dining area). Our server however, was friendly and attentive. This was our first time here because this place always looks closed when I pass by. I was able to catch it on MY day off and I guess it’s safe to say it lived up to the standard “diner hype” for it to not be a franchise/chain restaurant. We both had an omelette (meat lovers) with home fries, bacon and toast and it wasn’t thrilling but it was edible. Maybe we will try it once more and I’ll give y’all an update if it was just that day or if that is just the food served at this establishment. There isn’t a bar here at this diner and they close I believe no later than 3pm. Maybe even 2pm. All in all stay tuned for an update! I’ll give it a couple weeks and see if we can make it back to this place!

The Aberdeen Diner sets itself apart with its customer service! They correctly remember your order and are right the first time. With average prices for a diner you won’t break the bank and there is enough left to be taken home. They offer a health conscious menu as well.

I really wanted to like this place, as it is a local institution. Unfortunately, this place survives more on nostalgia than quality. I get it, there are several places in my hometown that I swear by even though they are objectively mediocre.
