We stopped in tonight for the first time while visiting Chicago for a concert. Asthetically, quite wonderful. Great atmosphere and the staff and Owner (who took care of us) were super friendly and accommodating. The booths have buttons you can ring for service but we really didn’t need to, he was so attentive. The decor is fresh and cozy, we adored it, not to mention the overall vibe just put us in a great mood after a long exhausting day. Then came the food!!! It tasted as great as it looked. We came really late so we missed out on grilling at the table but that just gives us an excuse to go back!!

Went here for the private karaoke rooms and it was awesome! Loved the atmosphere and the help from the owner? Was excellent!! They explain everything and are very attentive. It can get pricey so if you want to save some money eat before your booking but otherwise feel free to enjoy the food drinks and singing.

The karoake rooms at Ju Rung has a ton of songs with American pop and Chinese selections We always go over the 2 hrs reservation because it is a bit more hyped than at home systems.

This review is a little late, but I figured that I should share and give an honest review for everyone else to see.

Food was great but a little pricey for the portions of chicken wings. Our server was efficient but not very attentive or friendly. I would go back for the kimchi fried rice in a heartbeat though.

Ju Rang has been a favorite place of mine to eat Korean food that wasn’t just the BBQ. However, it seems like there have been some changes in how the food is being prepared. The best part of the garlic sweet ddukbokki was that it was crunchy and the garlic cloves were soft. Now that is an extra charge. The bulgolgi was also more plentiful last time and the taste used to be closer to what I had in South Korea. The garlic boneless chicken was also changed to a red color. The taste is still really good. Overall, Ju Rang is still a great place to eat but I’m not sure why they changed something that wasn’t broken. I will go back again but I won’t be in as a rush to get there the next time.

TLDR: You’d be better off going to H-Mart or Joong Boo supermarket if you’re craving Korean food. Food was very pricey and below average at best. One dish was missing the vegetables shown in the menu photos. We paid almost $30 per person for a late night dinner (but well before closing time), and we left feeling hungry. I got the impression that Ju Rang is better for drinking and karaoke-ing than for getting food.

Good place for a drink. People are nice and attentive. There’s a bell ring by the tables if you need any assistance. Foods always above average. They even check your temperatures.
