This was my first time in years going to this place. The gentleman and his wife was very professional and courteous. My fish was fresh and crispy the way I like it. I didn’t mind the wait. The lady gave me a free drink with a smile for my inconvenience. I will be going back.

Ordered fish, took 50 minutes and was fried despite the fowl odor. I(anyone) Could smell it was spoiled when I opened the bag. Tried a little patience and returned the $16.00 meal in exchange for some thing else. I was offered a dusty pumpkin pie that apparently has been sitting there from November. I Stated quietly that I (most) black people don’t eat pumpkin pie,(especially dusty 3 month old and counting)pie. Was given a remake of chicken wings instead, they also were not fresh, the meat was dark and hard .I Was too bummed out to return the order. Simple tossed it and took the lost. Suffice it to say I will never forget or patronize this restaurant again.

Couple.. The lady is very rude beyond imagination.. the customer service is tremendously horrible. The cashier / the guy cannot take orders right.. and the lady cannot make the orders right. They messed up the order. Made it again. And still got my order wrong. I ordered a hamburger with only ketchup mustard pickles and onions.. they gave me a cheeseburgers with mayonnaise lettuce tomatoes ketchup pickles and onions.. the lady read the order back to me when he got it wrong the first time.. this is by far the most unsanitary place.. the guy did not change his gloves at all. He went in the back, he moved the garbage can. He wouldn’t refrigerator. He’s bagging the food making the orders and did not change his gloves at all.. very very disrespectful couple.. it appears to be husband and wife owned.. both of them are bad.. both of them are rude.. both of them could barely understand english.. and the waiting time is ridiculous. Not to mention the grill area is really dirty. I waited 45 minutes for a burger and fries.. and they got it wrong twice.. it is a small restaurant.. and there was seven people sitting inside.. and only two of them had on a mask.. the guy making the food.. had a mess only covering his mouth. They are located on 71st and State street. You’re better off going to get a bologna sandwich out of the garbage then going there.

The food and customer service was excellent! They have the best fried Jumbo shrimp, I love there Gizard, Gyros,Phill steak in fact I love everything. They very good in all they do. You definitely get a lot for your money! Check them out. Will definitely return as soon as I get back to Chicago I missed them the best fried chicken and fish in Chicago south side area is also Black owned business.

My family used to love the fish from this place, and we were so happy when they reopened after being closed part of the summer. Well it is not the same . I ordered two small catfish dinners. Even though I called ahead to order, I still had almost a hour wait. The food was awful . Two very thin catfish steaks teasted as if it were fired in old grease, what ever they used to coat the fish with was soggy and the fish was dry. They do have a sign in the window for a line cook. Hope they get one soon,cause the lady cooking now is not up to their past standards.

This is by far the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. The fish and shrimp were old and had an horrible smell. I ate 3 shrimp and it made me very sick. Do not eat from this place. They should not even be open!!!!

My 1st time trying Brody’s Fish & Chicken. I ordered from Seamless.com. My shrimp&Chicken combo, arrived HOT, freshly breaded and nicely packaged. Thank You! I will order again! I ate everything before taking the photo! Deliscious.

I eat here often, I need start trying more of their items on the menu. I love the party wings with BBQ sauce with lemon pepper or the Brody Zing with lemon pepper. Everything’s made to order so be patient its worth the wait and they are nice people. No complaints, you get to see them cook and the kitchen is always clean.

What a poor low class place. I frequent this place several times a week. They recently hired a new cook that burned my gyro plate i did not receive all i paid for either npt my extra drink sauce nothing. when i called to explain to the young lady what happened she apologized and said she would leave a note for the manager explaining what happened and that they would replace my order. When i followed up no note was left and the girl was suddenly unreachable . the manager never called me back . this place is poorly ran and now that the quality of service and food has went down so much i surely wont ever be back.
