Ally and Kayla always make us feel so welcome. They are kind and fun, while still taking their work very seriously. They provide an atmosphere that is safe and enjoyable. Great place to hang out. Bar seating is comfortable with views and enough for more than a dozen. Outside smoking area is great and out of the weather. Yellow bat games take up a lot of outside and parking so come early. Only downside was weak poored drinks by owner, but that’s how he makes money lol.

Will never step foot in the penalty box again and it’s sad because we enjoyed meeting our friends there. The owner is the most ignorant man I have ever came across, . We brought a group of 20 people to his bar,keep in mind we were the only people in the bar and the owner went nuts asking us to leave, screaming in women’s faces all because he found a beer can from outside the bar that someone walked off the party bus with that we were using for cigarette butts because we couldn’t find an ash tray. We were buying shots/ drinks and he told us all to leave literally yelling “Bye”in our faces! He sits at the end of the bar every night, watches the bartenders every move, is not friendly to anyone that walks in the door and is waiting to yell at anyone in his bar. We have given this place a chance many times, we all live by this bar and all of our friends hang out at this bar. We are all from north county and would all meet at this bar often. We would hear people say negative things about this bar but we would still go because it’s close to all of us and on this end of ofallon we don’t have many bars. But after our last experience we will never go back and we have let everyone know how we were treated and they have all agreed to not go back. They say they have food but he will not open the kitchen up when you want to order food! Unfortunately if this bar had a different owner it would do way better because we would love to go back but not when an owner will scream” bye leave my bar” in the face of of grown women and mothers I can’t give anyone a penny that would treat people like that especially when we were the only customer’s in the bar the only other customer in the bar got up and left after he seen how the owner acted. It’s a cool bar just needs a new owner that is welcoming and friendly to his community.

Great little bar, that is easy to get to. Fun place to sit & watch the game, or cool off a bit after Yellowbatz. It has a limited food selection – Pizza only – but a well stocked bar. Good selection of beers & spirits.

Service was decent and it was a fun atmosphere but the drinks were very very very weak (buddy was just about 18 shots deep and looking just fine) AND they overcharged us at the end of the night. Next time, I recommend doing either the weak alcohol or the overcharging. Sober people can read receipts!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The Penalty Box is a staple business in O’Fallon. Thru thick and thin this bar never fails! I always have a great time here! Come kick back a few beers, play some wiffle ball on their custom wiffle ball field, practice your frisbee golf or play a game of Cornhole. This place has something for everyone! 10 stars!!
