I had a serious hankering for a proper pastrami sandwich today, so we headed over to The Onion Roll. This little place offers a lot of dining options as you can order to go from the deli counter, or dine in at the cafe style dining room (which also has a coffee bar). The sandwich came piled high with hot pastrami on soft rye bread with sides of coleslaw, pickle spear, and fries. The meat came juicy and with all the right flavor, but I couldn’t help adding a little mustard. The only mark against the place, really, is the pricing. Everything here is quite expensive (even the daily specials).

Great bagels and sandwiches! Definitely higher price point but quality food that is made fresh. Only small complaint is that they charge 1.50 to add lettuce, tomato, and onion each. I get that cheese is $1.50 extra, but lettuce??? And onion? Really?? The soups have great flavor but no veggies at all. Some carrot and celery and onion would be nice in the broth for chicken noodle. Try the chive cream cheese, very good and they have to go containers.

Amazing breakfast place. Decent menu and very delicious. I want to highlight our server Svitlana. She went above and beyond to make my dining experience exceptional, attending to all my requests promptly and with a smile. Svitlana was well-informed about the menu and offered great recommendations. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor made for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and especially Svitlana’s exceptional service.

Cute Jewish deli (Est. 1954) with nice customer service. Armando was helpful by recommending popular sandwiches and bagels. Ordered a pastrami w/corned beef on onion roll and it was good. It wasn’t salty and had a lot of meat.

The Onion Roll now has bagels. Their fresh baked bagels are well worth the trip. Made in house, they are baked and perfectly made to perfection. Tasty toppings with a crisp outer crust and chewy inside. Toasted with cream cheese is a family favorite. Try the Asiago Cheese, Everything and Rosemary Salt. The Onion Roll delivers and staff is well trained and courteous.

Bagels are top notch. Service was quick and attentive. We had delicious food in minutes. The renovations make the space bright and cheerful. Everyone was kind including when our little girl spilled a full water! Our 9 year-old says the textures were great! Perfect weekend family breakfast

Had pancakes today. Best I’ve had in a long time. We’ve been getting their bagels for years. Love the onion roll bagels and the salt have perfect texture. We’re from the Lower East side so we were thrilled to find them. Fantastic breakfast. Take the bagels home!! We love Julissa!!
