This little gem is tucked behind the Patrick Henry Mall. I enjoyed a well balanced draft blackberry cider, while husband had an unsweetened tea. He prefers a stronger more robust iced black tea. He ordered the fish and chips. Fish (tilapia fingers) was hot, chips (waffle fries) had too much time to cool before served at the table.

Let me start with Rob, our server, he was fantastic!! Only three gentleman working in the whole place and Rob was calm, friendly and attentive. I had the cheeseburger with wing chips while my dad and nephew had the pulled pork over mac N’ cheese. My burger and chips were fantastic, their’s was good but not great. Warm in the middle but not hot, and because of short staffing the place needs a deep clean. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

My friend and I decided to try this restaurant because we’d heard it was a good place for a sandwich. We arrived around 12 noon and there were 4 booths occupied at that time. After sitting for about 10 mins., our waiter brought us menus and a cutlery pack, and said he’d be right back for our drink order. He walked by our booth no less than a dozen times never getting our order, telling us he’d be with us shortly, nothing. He would go behind the bar, stand with his back to his customers like he was taking inventory of the liquor bottles. The lady seated behind us with two young boys dressed in baseball outfits, had to get up, walk to the bar and ask for her bill because she needed to leave. He did oblige her, took her payment and again stood behind the bar observing the liquor bottles. He never once made any attempt to apologize for leaving us sitting for more than 30 minutes. We got up and started walking out, he turned, looked over his shoulder as we exited through the front door. Whoever the owner might be if this restaurant might want to hire someone that represents you and your business a lot better than this young man. Poor, poor customer service. Can’t say how the good is, never had any!

First visit, and it won’t be the last. I read other reviews and would like to address a few things. This is a small, local owned restaurant, with a smaller kitchen and food is freshly prepared. The hostess told us the food wait was about 45 minutes. She was super friendly and accommodating. I would expect 35-45 minutes in a restaurant this size. The menu is smaller, but that helps a small kitchen function more efficiently and there is a lot of variety. Like all of the service industry, they are short of help and hiring. Every wait person we observed were trying hard. Drinks were refilled as fast as our waiter could, and our food was wonderful. The portions are huge. It was great to find a place offering something a little different that is also delicious. Hopefully this restaurant rebounds well. (Bacon fries, New Orleans Pasta, Parm Chicken)

Food was fresh and kids loved the Mac and cheese. Server was very friendly and answered all our questions. My grandson has a food allergy and they accommodated for that. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Order the fries with bacon, cheese, chives to go. Order wasnt ready until almost 1 hr later called in before said a 30 min wait. Upon arrival food was not ready and had to wait. No ranch given. Fries were hard as a rock, cheese was hard and stuck to the foil than on the fries. My friends food were also horrible but I will let them write their own review. I tried to get a refund since I wasn’t going to eat it I have been waiting for them to issue one and nothing. A cashier/ pretend manager had a very negative attitude which wasn’t appreciated. Never again will I recommend this place.

Excellent place! We were just in town passing through. We got the Crack Fries (5/5), Dayton Chicken Sandwich (4.8/5) and the BBQ mac and cheese (4/5 for one tiny cold spot). I’ve now saved this to a list so I can find it again when we travel back next year!

The cook knows his stuff. Perfectly fried fish and my wife’s burger was cooked just right, not over cooked as so often happens. Fries would have been better if they were hot instead of warm.
