I have debated for this last week to write this review. When we lived in Tampa for 10 yrs we would come to this place all the time, easily having some of the best cheesesteaks around. We moved to Tennessee 5 years ago but came back to Tampa on Monday and of course this was the first place I wanted to go. I hate saying this because I really liked the cheesesteak. We got a cheesesteak a piece and an order of fries to split. The ketchup they gave us for the fries was bad. I didn’t notice it right away. My husband did. He said it tasted like it was fermenting. And when I tried it again I noticed not only did it taste like it was going bad, it smelled like it to. Upon leaving the store I told the girl working behind the counter. It’s been a while since I had food here and I have to say, it was great. Cheese steak with whiz, grilled onions/mushrooms/peppers hit the spot. The change-up of diced jalapeño to the garbage fries is so much better than sliced – my fries used to feel lonely. Now they don’t. Missed this place while I was away. Glad to be back, and “home” (yes, from the Philly area) with Philly Phlava.

The food was good. The only problem was I noticed there was a 34 cent service fee added to my order. I said what is the service fee for He said it offsets our credit cards I said well I’m paying cash so then he credited me back 31 cents keeping three cents as a service fee for whatever reason so please be aware there are extra charges added to your order. Every little penny counts and it’s really hard when you’re going to go out to eat and there’s extra charges added to your orders It’s really not cool

Always delicious!!! I always get a philly, add bacon, with salt/pepper/oil/vinegar and add mustard. Been coming here for over 15 years and never been disappointed. If looking for a good philly, definitely where to go. First time I actually ate there today, usually get it to go. Fast friendly service!
