The place is dirty, and small. You order at the counter, pay then wait for your food and then go to the window to pick it up. There is not much room to move up and down the isle at all.

Went to Big Mike’s while on vacation. We got a chance to sit and talk with him while the cook prepared our food. Both of them were very friendly and the food was delicious. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

You place your order, put the menus back on the counter, get your order when ready, then clear your table by returning dishes to the counter. Then again return to counter to pay. Noone ever comes to your table. I did alot of work. Not relaxing at all.

A lovely couple owns and operates this store and diner. Counter service only. The menu is well rounded but straightforward. Perry’s brand Ice cream is served. The store is a stocked convenience store with some cute local artist items. Unfortunately the restroom is not clean at all and in disrepair.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much but inside you’ll find some of the warmest hospitality anywhere. Mike and Vicky are friendly and real easy going. Felt like we were visiting with family. We had bacon burgers and fries. Good portion of fries , the burger was juicy and there was bacon in every bite. It’s a little gem tucked away in the Mountains of Austin, PA.
