I decided to try out Taco John’s for the first time. I went through the drive thru. Patrick took my order. I told him to be patient because it was my first time. I went with the #1 combo after he suggested a combo to get the potatoes olé. The 8.99 combo after upgrading to the medium was 10.15. Should have just stuck with the original 8.99. The tacos made it home without getting soggy, but the cheese looked like it had stayed out all night. It was hard and dry, and the taco was over stuffed with iceberg lettuce. It had a decent flavor and definitely was not blah. The potatoes olé were quite salty. They were basically just a round tater tot. If I go back, I’ll not be having the tots! My biggest complaint is the lid on my drink. I was advised by Aaron, who handed my drink, to be careful of the lid. I think it’s obvious they know the lid does not fit properly. Photo of how lid kept popping off cup included. The lid doesn’t fit properly on the lip of the cup. I couldn’t pick my drink up to sip on it while driving home without the lid popping off. Maybe they should correct this issue. I almost had tea all over myself, and that is the last thing a customer wants. The drive thru was not busy, and there was no wait.

I’ve been holding off reviewing Taco John’s until they got the kinks worked out of being newly opened. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much better it’s gotten. I stopped on the way home from work to grab some tacos, Street Tacos , and Potato Ole’s. My potatoes didn’t make it home lol. So crispy, fairly salty but not overly. I love that the tacos can make it home and still be crisp and not stuck to the wrapper tearing out the whole bottom like taco bell. The Street tacos were really good too. Great job guys!

Firstly, they screwed up our order so we had to go back to the counter to get it corrected. Their side dish, potato ole’s as they call them, are just tater tots. They are sprinkled with seasoning salt and it was applied so unevenly that some were completely inedible because of how salty they were. We ended up just throwing the whole container away. Our main dishes tasted fine; but 24 hours later my whole family had diarrhea. We will not be going back.

We went through the drive-through and got three mango shrimp tacos for six dollars! You really don’t need to say more than that but I will. I also got a fried mini taco which had a little bit of jalapeño in it and it was spicy. All the tacos were absolutely delicious! Plenty of sauce, plenty of flavor and plenty of content. The service was very friendly and we appreciate it. They were genuineness at the drive-through. The outside looked clean and we did not go inside, but I would imagine based on the parking lot, it was probably pretty good.

I got the Alaskan flounder fish tacos and there were very good. The potato oles were good, nothing special, basically round tater tots.

I had the Nacho Crunch Chicken Burrito and a soft taco. I was surprised at how small they were but WOW! Tasty, especially the crunch burrito. Excellent employee at the counter who was patient with all of my questions since a first time visitor. Finding a way into the parking lot off the highway was a little confusing but understandable since the entire area is under construction.

Drive thru attendants must need new headsets because they have a hard time hearing and getting the order correct. I have to repeat myself several times every visit. Food is mostly on the mushy side. Potato Ole save the day.

Been through the drive thru 3 times. Each visit took between 20-30 minutes. There were plenty of employees, most of them standing around. Two of the times, there was miscommunication on whether I was going to get the correct order of food or not. Taco John’s is, basically, an overpriced Taco Bell that takes longer than a sit down restaurant. Would not recommend to anyone.
