Saw this place listed from Westword list of good bbq places. Small diner with a counter seating, a few small two people tables and a table for about 4 or 6 people. Large menu. I decided to get the sampler with sausage, pulled pork, rib tips and my sides were Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The meats came covered in their regular sauce. Bottles of addition styles were on the tables. The sausage was rather bland. I even thought they were just hot dogs. The tips were mostly bone. The pork was pretty good. The problem was after I was done it was easy to see there was something wrong with the sauce. The mouthfeel was thin but when there was just sauce left, it looked like the sauce was separating to clumps of thick surrounded by watery liquid. Not appetizing. The sides were every good. The Mac was thick and rich. The coleslaw was vinegar based and not swimming in mayonnaise style. Tasted good. Service was good and friendly. Nice people. If I find myself back in the area I will try other items but I won’t go out of my way. I will look for the Westword review to see if they said there was a stand out item to try.

Great BBQ! Extremely friendly family run operation and they truly care about the quality of their product. Highly recommend the hot chicken wings with a side of their homemade hot bbq sauce. Hope to be back soon!

Not sure how this place is getting the high reviews. I’ve been there twice and both were just not good. Friendly staff but bad food. First time I got ribs and they were under-cooked by several hours. I felt like a wild animal ripping the meat off the bone. Worst ribs I have ever eaten. Second time I went to give them another shot and had a pulled chicken sandwich. Meat was luke warm, flavor was bland and the bbq sauce was average at best. Finished my meal with a very unpleasant tasting sweet tea. Not much to eat in this part of town but don’t pay the money for this BBQ.

Great food, a must try. A local couple runs this “mom n pop” gem. Don’t let the small shack look worry you. Everything is fresh and handmade. I had beans and potato salad for my 2 sides, they were both really good and fresh, not canned. The pulled pork was savory and what you’d expect. I just can’t give five stars to a place with plastic silverware. The food is great!

The wings are to die for! The pulled pork and onion rings are also very very delicious. Staff is always so friendly and kind. Definitely recommend them to everyone that is unsure about a bbq place. Oh and fairly cheap as well

Local BBQ at it’s finest. Family owned n friendly folks that cook up some of the best ribs east of I-25. If I could get past the Sweetest baked beans, I’d be trying there coleslaw. Friday is catfish can’t wait to try!

Been meaning to try this place for the longest glad I finally did today. Super worth the wait! I had the rib tips they were tender and delicious! For the sides I stuck with potato salad and baked beans let me tell you, I was not let down. The owners are sweethearts and will gladly sit with you and chit chat. Didnt have room for dessert so I took some home the peach cobbler is to die for! Will definitely go back soon!
