Good food and reasonable prices, but the inside is a hole in the wall and they don’t keep it the cleanest. There us dust on all the light fixtures and there was a cobweb or Dust bunny along the ceiling. They do not sell the brisket anymore so you can ignore that item on the menu. Their pizzas are good but their main dishes are also very nice. I’ve been here several times. They do have a lunch special from 12-4pm for 7.95.

Service was great. We had the pizza. The crust was outstanding an they were generous with the toppings. Where there is room for improvement is the sauce. Very fresh tomato flavor, but it needed a little more spice/flavor. A bit of garlic and oregano would go a long way. Overall though very good. We will be back!

We go here for the pizza. It’s so good and not commercial. The crust is delicious and the toppings are always very flavourful. Service has been excellent each time. I’ll admit the calamari lacked some flavor and it was a bit chewy but the rest of the food we’ve had was delicious!

We can walk here and absolutely love it! They opened their doors a few months ago after replacing another Italian restaurant. We have dined here or ordered take out on numerous occasions and they never disappoint! Our first impression of an Italian restaurant is based on their calamari. Let me tell you, it is absolutely fabulous even when ordering take out….lightly battered and cooked to perfection. We love the fact that you can choose your meat entree of chicken or veal and then have it tossed in one of nine sauces, some being quite unique and all delicious. We have also tried their pizzas and calzone…large, don’t skimp on toppings, and rank as one of the best in the Tampa area in our opinion. The only item we do not recommend thus far is the cheese triangles. Actually, they rank as one of the worst in the area if not the worst…way too much breading and most of them were hollow as the cheese melted out. Overall, definitely give this place a try if you are in the area.

Good food but not a good experience. The chicken entree was very good as was the salad. The sauce with the spaghetti was extremely watery. The meatball appetizer was about the worst I’ve had in the Tampa Bay area. We also ordered pizza to go to try it later. It was well made but not so good that we would go out of our way to have it. Based on the food alone, we probably wouldn’t make the trip to go here again (about a 25 minute drive) when there are plenty of good options closer. The dining experience was something else. The meatball appetizer arrived after the entree, which we thought was weird but didn’t seem to faze them. Our two-person table was situated in a high traffic area and was squeezed between other tables. Servers moved by us throughout the meal. My chair was bumped nearly every single time a server went by. Sometimes it was a serious jolt. This didn’t seem faze them either as it was hardly commented on by those doing the bumping. Probably won’t make it back any time soon.

Omg this was the worst experience I’ve had. Food was cold, the mozzarella triangles tasted as if they were fried in old oil, my pasta had no Alfredo sauce and no taste what so ever, and to make it worst they did my order wrong, and the young lady had nerve to try and put the blame on me and said I probably forgot to mention my order correctly. I was in shock when I heard her say that to me. I am very pleased that I got my money back. The price is too high for regular food. I really had high hopes for this place. Bummer. Please don’t kill me for my honest review. Honesty is best.

This place is a hidden gem. I have visited about 8 times now; the food has been fantastic each time and the staff is always friendly. During my last visit we had a few mistakes to our order and they made it right immediately. The owner came to our table and apologized and even gave us gift cards for our trouble. The response to their mistakes was above and beyond my expectation. It’s your reaction during difficult times that shows your true character and I was/am impressed. I highly recommend Portofinos!
