The drinks were great. The food was solid; the “Unidad Burger” was just okay, the “Venezuelan Arepas con Platanos” were decent. Their staff was friendly. It’s a beautiful place, though the main dining area had a smell. I’d return for drinks in their patio & maybe to try their tacos.

OMG! OMG! OMG! THIS IS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!! THEY DO NOT DISAPPOINT PEOPLE! We walked into smiles, and a more than geacious host that was willing to walk is through everything and give us some excellent recommendations. The meat on every dish is so tender and delicious. Everything is very flavorful with fresh ingredients, and makes it that much more amazing. The drinks are so good too! This will be my new go-to spot for me and the hubby. I am already planning my birthday outing with them. People, please know I am not exaggerating! This is a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH! A perfect jewel FOUND!

No way you should have a rating under 5! Baja, birria, and carnitas tacos and arepas. Beans wonderful. Rice outstanding! We were at $30 for food each and $20 for drinks on average. We all shared bites and loved everything. My mezcal was outstanding! Illegal anejo. Sat on the patio. The place is hella loud but worth it. Will be back the next time we’re here. Thank you staff, cooks, chef, and owners.

Everything about Unidad was perfect. The atmosphere is stress free and relaxing. The drinks were amazing, especially el burracho. The food was phenomenal as well. I got the ox tail tacos and they were perfect. The chef was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions easily. We even got to chat with the chef for a few minutes. It was an amazing date night. 10/10 you must try this place

DATE NIGHT WAS AMAZINGGGGGG! I️ found Unidad while driving past. I️ googled it and the menu looked EXCITING. Decided to go for date night AND I️ AM SOOOOOOO GLAD I️ DID! the GUACAMOLE options ARE FANTASTIC. I️ got the elotes guacamole (Melissa the bartender suggested it. BTW MELISSA MAKES A MEAN I️ LOVE LUCY and HIBISCUS MARGARITA). There guacamole was fresh and so were the chips that came with it. The Corn Fritters were sooooo yummy I️ got an order to go. The shrimp tacos were soooo freaking good AND THE BEANS AND RICE WERE SEASONED SOOOO GOOD I’VE NEVER HAD THEM THIS GOOD BEFORE!!!! Cary is his name. If you get to meet him, YOU WILL LOVE HIM. OH WAIT YOU MUST HAVE THIS DESSERT. IT IS THE SEXIEST DESERT I️ HAVE EVER HAD. Alfajores Con Helado THEE ABSOLUTE BEST HANDS DOWN! Words cannot explain just how good it is. We just moved into the EP in October & LOVE that this gem is so close to home. Don’t get me wrong, it’s so good that I would go out of my way to drive here if it wasn’t. Right off the bat the service is top notch, Marisol is a joy & very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, we were greeted by the manager, the partner, and 1 of the owners. Much like the EP, this place is small with a big heart! The drinks are delicious (I had the I love Lucy & the Hibiscus Margarita) and consistent, that was just the drinks, we haven’t even gotten to the food yet. Let me tell you…the food did not disappoint, not one bit! We ordered the verdura empanadas (me) & the arepas (him) as appetizers…both exceptional. These people know their food. Our main dishes were the Pasta Verde (I’m a pescetarian so I subd the chicken for the shrimp). My husband had the Chicharrones w/ Chipotle Mashed Potatoes & the side of black beans & Mama Chuys rice. We were both eating off of each other’s plates until our plates were empty. I ate my husband’s mashed potatoes and he ate my pasta, we shared the plates & just couldn’t get enough. We loved the hospitality & the attention to detail. We felt like we were back dining in downtown Chicago, but really were 2 mins from home. Doesn’t get any better than that!!! Gracias Unidad you have 2 new regulars.

Mike our server was so nice and attentive, we sat outside which had a relaxing cool ambiance. The oxtail tacos were our favorite along with the churros and little sandwich cookies! Oh and the cocktails are creative and delicious with a little kick!

Absolutely spectacular! Get the elote fritters — hands down the best thing we had. Came for appetizers and drinks with friends. Margarita was great and something I would have expected to pay $12 for in the city—$9 for a cocktail like this out felt like a steal.

What a great find! Every bite was scrumptious! Try the Arepes with the shredded chicken and elote guacamole! Great cocktails and a very good selection of tequila. Attentive, but not fussy service. Sat on the patio and just enjoyed the evening and the live music. Only drawback was the noise level, the patio was bearable but loud; inside was unbearably loud and not suitable for trying to converse with someone using hearing aids. Glad they had room for us outside! Definitely will be back!
