Had a wonderful evening here celebrating my husband’s birthday. The wait staff was kind and helpful. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was inviting, and we both enjoyed the relaxed pace of our dining experience . We didn’t feel rushed to order and the ability of just being able to sit and talk and be at our own pace gave us incredible experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Always a pleasure to come back to Larks. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent service. Reliable favorites on the menu but always something fresh and new – both interesting farm forward dishes and imaginative drinks from the bar. Get to the show on time or enjoy a leisurely meal while everyone else dashes off. I enjoyed a delicious veg korma, my date the pork chop. We shared the to-die-for warm butter cake. Happy all around!

Such a comfortable atmosphere and wonderful staff. An excellent wine list containing many local, organic, and sustainable choices. Always a pleasure to sit at a sophisticated hotel bar.

Pretty room and a more formal dining spot than usual for laidback Ashland. Good food, complex, vaguely French and New American menu with a lot of entrees with a lot of sauces. Very tasty array of greens, cheese, veggies and meats from local farms. Great service, good for date night. Yes to outdoors dining but sidewalk tables outside seemed noisy.

Works with recommended to us from our Airbnb hosts. We decided to stop in for a drink prior to our dinner at another place. Next time we will definitely be having food because the aromas were incredible. It’s a very classy restaurant with high-end cocktails and food. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and our drinks were next level amazing.

Last night I had the pleasure of eating the food from Larks. What a treat. We had the Southern Fried Chicken Breast and the Winter Squash Vegetable Korma entrees. Both were very high quality and delicious. But the dessert!!! The Warm Butter Cake with Strawberry Rhubarb Compote was truly the best dessert I have ever had. Don’t miss out on a meal from this amazing chef.

For an average of $100 for two entrées with only lemonade as a beverage, I expected more from the food. I ordered the Grilled Hanger Steak, requested medium rare. The meat was properly prepared, with the perfect ratio of external sear to properly red inside. The Sauce Bearnaise however, was bland at best, so the steak couldn’t really “pop” as it should have, given the bland sauce. The potato pave was an interesting play, replacing more traditional mashed potatoes, but again, the flavor was rather basic and incomplete. Infusing them with a peppered thyme and rosemary butter reduction would add a much deserved savory flavor to the entire meal. The roasted Zucchini was delicious.

We really like this place. We stayed at the Hotel for my birthday and had a good meal at Larks. I do have a couple of comments. I had the meatloaf, which was amazing except for the glaze. It was made from dates which made it way too sweet for my taste. The roasted carrots were hard and tough as well, but these two things did not keep me from enjoying the food. Just a couple of observations.

To start I had a cosmo and he had a double Tito’s cranberry. Cosmo was not a normal cosmo but not bad. Switched to a glass of the insider Cabernet from Napa which was Eloquent and had a Carmel finish. The appetizers we got were the cheese board with two orders of regular ciabatta bread and one order of gluten free bread. We thought the tomato paste was going to have a tomatoes flavor but very much like mustard it was amazing!!! Also the Oregon salad with hazelnuts and cranberries. We split the salad it was perfect. LOVED all the above and finished everything! He got the meatloaf and instead of carrots subbed rice and I got the tiki Marsala. Everything was excellent and I was stuffed ! We finished with the flourless chocolate torte (gluten free) excellent and rich and an amazing cranberry finish with the ginger ice cream was delicious. He got the old fashion sundae and it looked amazing overall wonderful experience and will be back!

Excellent in every way. Very accommodating, exceptional service, great ambiance but more for an older crowd. The ambiance is not so much a millennial crowd but still very nice.
