It was our first time going and we were the only blacks in the restaurant so the atmosphere was odd to say the least and at first it seemed as if we was being ignored or overlooked finally a waitress came to take our order she was nice but the food was sooo good and my drink was good kinda strong but good

Lovely atmosphere, good service, but the oysters (which should be top notch since they’re in the name of the place) were the cheapest variety prepared in the laziest way at full price. At least, the oysters Rockefeller. By definition they should have greens, a green butter sauce, and bread crumbs, preferably on a long shell. What I got were the short shell kind with a scrap of onion on them tossed in the oven. It’s not difficult or complicated. I hear the other entrees are good but this particular luxury dish was what I had a hankering for and was incredibly disappointed. Still, pleasant staff and decor.

I have frequented Blue Oak since it opened. This has been a go-to of mine for a fancier dinner or just to get a good meal. Quite a bite of variety on the menu and everything I have tried has been good. The blackened tuna and the blackened cod tacos are two of my favorite dishes. The drinks are always great and they have drink specials often. ALSO, there aren’t many places in the Martin area to get oysters on the half shell. I recommend a visit to Blue Oak Oyster Bar and Grill if you are in the area!

Great place for a dinner date. Cheese curds, Oyster sampler, cajun chicken tacos, and blackened snapper, were all excellent. I did think the blackened fried rice could’ve stood a bit less salt, otherwise, food and service was great! my wife thought the house Moscato was very smooth!

This was our first time here. Some of our food was piping hot and some was not. We ordered a fried shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. I ordered the fish and fries. They were both hot and delicious. The hush puppies were hot on the outside but cold on the inside like the grease was too hot and they didn’t get done in the middle. And my husband’s tuna was cool on the inside. The service was good tho.

My wife and I chose this location for our 2nd anniversary and it was no disappointment. We had the oyster sampler as it is my wife’s favorite. She also ordered the blackened snapper and I had the King Cut Prime Rib. Prime Rib is one of my favorite dishes and it did not let me down. It was absolutely phenomenal and the au jus was also delicious. The service was great with the owner working as hard as his employees delivering drinks, greeting guests etc. Martin, TN is lucky to have this dining experience in their small rural town. Would recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We got there just as they opened on Saturday night. It was our first visit here. Hostess acted like she didn’t want us to be there. Our waitress was friendly enough. We ordered our food, when the salads came they were delicious!! When our entrees come was when we were disappointed. Two ordered the bourbon pork chop. They were good!! The chicken tenders are the worst I’ve ever had. They looked as if they had went thru a dredge of flour only and tasted like they had been fried in dirty grease and no seasoning. One person at our table got the sirloin steak and it was tough and raw in the middle. But overly charred on the outside. Plus every other table had rolls with dinner but our table and we weren’t offer any. Needless to say this will be our last trip there ☹

Well well well what can I say about this delicious establishment. The food is fantastic. The pepperjack cheese sticks come with a luscious dipping sauce that makes your belly say “ain’t no thing as diabeetus”. The burger my buddy had was enormous. The fried shrimp tacos are excellent. The shrimp is crunchy and crispy and not too oily. A proper breaded crunch to shrimp meat ratio. The blackened cod tacos are fantabulous. The cilantro dressing is wonderful. Will come again.

We live in Atwood tn an was driving threw I googled restaurant an found blue oak and I am so glad I did I will definitely be driving all way to martin just to eat here, I highly recommend you go you will not be disappointed! We went Thursday and it was one the best meals I have had at a restaurant around here since covid has hit. The rolls an strawberry butter yumm! The lettuce in the salad was actually fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly for both me an my daughter and it was so tender, the gator bites blackened are the closest to Florida I have had in Tennessee ever and idk what type sauce came with them but I could smother anything in that sauce! The survice was good we never ran out drink or had to look around for are server but we aren’t very needy lol. I just feel since covid a lot restaurant have went down an I know its not always their fault but this place has not missed a beat.
