Great food and great beer. We really enjoyed this place. There is seating both inside and out. The menu has a mix of sandwiches, salads, pizza and burgers. They also have options for kids. The outside dining area has a nice mural and hops and vegetables growing beside the tables. The only downside is the wasps were terrible!

Really solid food. Good sandwiches. Beers are not too bad. Needs some fine tuning. The ipa tasted devoid of much flavor at all as well as it being nearly clear, not hazy as indicated. The hoppiest beer they claimed was the ambered, it was hoppy but barely. If the beer improves then this could easily be a 5 star location. The service was very good overall.

I parked my bike, went inside and asked if they still had the black bean burger, they said yes and seat yourself. I sat, middle of the restaurant, for 15 minutes. I stood up a few times to view the overhead beer menu. No one came to my table. I left by walking in front of the entire serving staff. Nothing! I thought they should know so I went back in and told them I had been waiting for 15 and no one came to my table. They only said, were you sitting inside? Ugh! Beer might be good, black bean burger might be good, but service is greatly lacking. Went to the Mexican food place next door (Mangos) and got seated and served straight away.

The building is small and cozy with unique accents in the decor like the windmill ceiling fan. All the food we tried was very good, the pizza had the perfect sauce to toppings ratio and the crust was cooked to perfection with a hint of beer hoops in it. I also highly recommend their jalapeno poppers they put a new and tasty spin on them.

What a. Nice addition to Alpens. We stopped in for beer.The lite IPA is refreshing and tasty. Wait staff is fantastic. The Beautiful poured polished concrete oval bar is something special. We will return for dinner.

We ate here for lunch on the patio as we had our dog with us. They immediately brought out a bowl of water for the dog. The pickle Chios arrived hot and crispy, and the Mediterranean pizza was excellent. My husband tried a couple of beers and enjoyed them. Our server was friendly and attentive, especially since he had to keep coming out to check on us as we were the only ones seated on the patio.

This was our 3rd time here for food and after this meal, it will be our last unfortunately. This place has a very nice ambiance, good beer, and service. They do have decent food depending on what you order. However this time, we ordered a Philly cheesecake sandwich. It literally had a 1 thin half of slice of meat on one side and one thin slice on the other. When you pay $15 for a Philly, you expect a good balance of meat, onions, peppers, etc. It was very disappointing and we expressed the disappointment to the waitress and she just said sorry your disappointed. I also got the hot wings and a simple salad. Hot wings are good. Do not bother with the simple salad. It was maybe a 1/4 of a cup of iceburg lettuce, 3 croutons, and a couple chopped up onion. It was a Friday evening at 5:00pm and we were the only ones in there. I guess we should have got the clue. I really hope they start paying more attention to their menu and the quality because this place is really nice and has a ton of potential!

Awesome place to enjoy some food and brew! Almost all of the beers that I tasted were very enjoyable, the fried pickles are pretty damn good too. Great prices, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back during my next visit to Alpena!
