If you want great pan style pizza, go to Uncle Jerry’s. The menu is simple: pizza and salad. They have four “house” pizza varieties or build your own combination. The house-made Italian sausage is incredible! They also have a unique crust recipe that really stands out.

Got out for an early dinner. It shares space with a butcher/meat shop, pretty unique. Menu has deep dish pizza and a salad on it, so don’t come looking for pasta or sammiches.the pizza was awesome. Ordered the sweet sting which is pepperoni and has a hot honey drizzle. It was delicious! Looked like a decent wine and beer list also.

Edited: we were here again for my birthday. Had two pizzas – one large sweet sting and one small pepperoni and onion. I took pictures before we dove in. It was as good as I remembered. We also had no wait for a table when we went on a Saturday evening. It was just as good as I remembered!

Great pizza with nice staff! We ordered the ‘Sweet Sting’ +Bacon which is Pepperoni Cups with a Hot Honey glaze – Fantastic! My 10-year old has never liked deep dish from the usuals, but became a convert after Uncle Jerry’s!

This place has great pizza!! Very simple menu. And GREAT service! Pizza has a nice crust and plenty of toppings. There is a meat market inside with a variety of fresh cut meats and various other items to buy. Only went for the pizza this time, but looking forward to a return visit.

1st time here with the family. Very crowded had to wait for awhile for a table. The staff was friendly and the pizza was outstanding. I haven’t had pizza this good in along time. There is also a butcher shop inside. Definitely will be going back! Since this post have been back several times. Awesome pizza!!

We heard the buzz about this place, and finally got a chance to check it out. The pizza really is special (5 stars!), but I’ll get to that in a minute. First of all, the location is just different. The Pizzeria shares a large open room space with a high-end butcher shop (Orchard Prime Meats and Wine Shoppe) and one wall of freezer doors of specialties from the butcher. There is a semicircle bar with about 12-15 seats and the requisite gambling area with a half dozen slot machines. High tops and regular tables are dotted throughout the rest of the space to seat maybe 40-50 patrons. The last feature is a deli up front that says ‘coming soon,’ but apparently that has been like that since opening. In general, the atmosphere is nothing special other than the unusual aspect of the butcher shop, but the smell of the pizza ovens definitely sets the mood.

Pizza was good, the ones we had. We drove 20 minutes to carry from McHenry to try this pizza we’ve heard so much about only to get a call upon our return home that they gave us the wrong Pizza could we check the boxes. Sure enough we didn’t get our vegetable one for the non-meat lover in our group. She asked if we could bring it back but that would have been another 40-minute round trip. They made good on it, I guess we have a free pizza coming. Thank you Uncle Jerry’s!

I had waited over 8 months to go back after my first visit. I think the pie is ok and nothing that is exceptional. The crust is the best part and it goes down from there. I feel the ingredients lack flavor and are nothing special to give it a great flavor. They get great local reviews but compared to places I have tried in several cities it does not stack up. I will try again early in 2023 and hope it gets better.
