Where to begin for 1 the music is extremely loud like club loud. My ears where ringing for the short time I was inside the establishment THIS IS NOT A EXAGGERATION when the host can’t even communicate to you while y’all are standing face to face that’s a big problem every time she said something to me I couldn’t hear her and she couldn’t hear me thinking my ears would adjust they didn’t couldn’t even focus to read the menu the hostess returns and asked has anyone been by I said and told her we decided to get food to go. So standing back infront of the hostess stand it gets interesting she can’t hear me I can’t hear her so we screaming at each other trying to place the order she even said (and I watched her walk over to the manager or owner not sure who he was to turn the music down) I ordered the salmon and grits I will let y’all be the judge of it and see if my description match the pic but it was dry no seasoning could have been sitting too and super small the grits were thick lumpy and taste not even a butter sauce or something to top the shrimp and grits and here is the cherry on top I was told I can’t add shrimp YOU READ RIGHT shrimp and grits is $14 a side of grits is $4 so that mean that shrimp is $10 for the love of god me and the hostess didn’t understand why she couldn’t add shrimp to my meal so she went back to the gentleman by the bar and came back and said we don’t do that here I was floored I should have ran then but ok cool I got side of bacon and a side of potatoes my other meal was waffles bacon catfish eggs and potatoes ok so boom 20 min outside cause I would be deaf waiting inside for my meal i stay on the next block….no ketchup no salt and pepper no butter no syrup y’all read my meals waffles were soggy..catfish was greasy and soggy BUT seasoned..potatoes were blah eggs looked like chopped up yolks I swear the only thing that was good was the bacon I swear yo hostess made y’all $50.I made me some pancakes to have with the bacon y’all gotta stop hyping them up just because they kinfolk cause I read through like 70% of the reviews and the similarities for the bad reviews still haven’t been addressed which is sad I even said I was gone go back to try the other part of the menu that they don’t serve until 5pm because I’m human and I wanted to experience the good reviews but it’s ok there are other places not gone list them but if they are a option let them be your last

I had the opportunity to have lunch at HoodFellas today, while on Jury Duty. I actually didn’t know how close they were to the courthouses but it was a short walk over for lunch, from the Mitchell Courthouse. W I was drawn to the fact that they had a Jury Special… so I decided to check it out.

We’re from out of town, and honestly this was the perfect place to come. The price is perfect for the quality of food that we’re getting, so good that we asked for the chef just to thank him lol. It’s some of the best food we’ve had, and the fish dishes we got was genuinely so fresh and amazing. The crab eggrolls were awesome, we’re coming back for sure! Our server, Ashley, was amazing, and the chef we spoke to was so chill and nice, chatting about the food and how its made. It was the perfect first place to come when in Baltimore!

Well ..well well! I can’t say enough about the food , customer and great atmosphere!!! My husband and I were celebrating our 24th year married. We are not familiar with Baltimore, so looking for a good soul food restaurant is ONLY on recommendations. We didn’t have one and took a chance. I’m so glad we did 🙂 I had the lamb chops with fried corn and corn bread . My husband BBQ wings , Mac and cheese along with yams. I was delicious and didn’t disappoint!!!!! We had the opportunity to meet the owner . Nice personality, and not only is he focused on his customers coming back , but his cares about his staff( I was ease dropping) LOL. He had time to chat with us . It was nice to his story. Nice Guy .

I’m so mad that it’s no consistency with them. 22 dollars for these tiny egg rolls. Last time I ordered a double crab cake platter and they smashed my crab cakes like a smash burger. I wanted to love them. I could haven’t to the china garden and got egg rolls for 5.00. They not even good.

The food was good. I came here on Monday for my birthday and they had karaoke. Drinks were OK! The staff were very friendly and they can Sang! Lol SHOUT out to our waitress Mira( hope I spelled her name right). She was excellent at taking care of our very large group. Definitely coming back!

Was a nice atmosphere, had a dj who was rocking, the drinks were amazing, the crust on that catfish, omg great with their special sauce. The bartender was good with her recommendations, and the host was polite. It’s a vibe for real! Get there!!
