For amazing chicken and rice Thai style this is the spot. The food was so good I forgot to take a photo before devouring it. The (item #1) chicken (dark meat with skin) was poached to perfection and the rice and soup complimented it very well. The chicken skin side is also worth a try, not very salty at all. Love the vibe, and the staff was super friendly. Spices provided are hot, so beware before putting too much on, there is a kick.

Nong’s brings back the familiar flavors of neighborhood Thai restaurants, creating a nostalgic dining experience. The ambiance is delightfully casual and comfortable. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Both of their locations are excellent choices. The staff is kind and friendly.

This location has less sitting compared to the one in SE location. Parking is harder to find here. There is street parking garage which both cost money.

Great service and atmosphere. We got the #1 and the sauce was perfectly tangy, soup was delicious. We also got the fried chicken skin and while that was perfectly crunchy it can use a tad of seasoning. A couple of outdoor seating options available.

One word: perfect! This was my first time here and the idea of boiled anything didn’t sound appetizing…I was soooo wrong! I can’t want to come back to Portland and have more. Best chicken I’ve ever had! This is a MUST visit spot!

As someone grew up in Asia, I would like to say if you ever tasted any chicken rice in any Asian cities (Hong Kong, Singapore, South-east China), you’ll know how bad this one is. The chicken meat, broth, and rice are not juicy and tasteless.

Simple but super flavourful and tender chicken and rice. Reminds me of chicken and rice in Asia. The sauce is bright and gingery. Ended up buying two bottles of the stuff for home to use. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

What’s not to love? Great Thai-style Hainanese Chicken Rice. Definitely order the deep fried chicken skin. Great spicy sauce. A definite must in Portland.

Sooo good. The sauce is the kicker. We had the eponymous main dish which was very good. The chicken rolls with peanut sauce were splendid, and the liver were tasty too. Soul warming food especially on a brisk day.
